Re: Battery Charge/Save Buttons

The efficiency of ICE is much better on constant highway speeds than in stop and go traffic. Please show me a link to research that proves that this is true for our PHEV. I have still not seen any scientific proof in 3 years of ownership. It is true for any vehicle equipped with an ICE, no matter h...

You could add "The engineers at Mitsubishi know best" and leave the button pushing to the guys on this forum :)
Yea, I agree "the engineers at Mitsubishi know best"... and they placed those buttons for a reason ;)

Re: Battery Charge/Save Buttons

There are few postulates that we can consider: Running on electricity is more efficient (otherwise you should not own the vehicle) Running on electricity is cleaner for urban areas. The efficiency of ICE is much better on constant highway speeds than in stop and go traffic. All those postulates make...

Re: Not automatically switching from battery to engine

I find the OP rather odd - ALL the motorway driving in EV? Even if starting with a full battery and from near a motorway you can only get about 15 minutes max driving at normal motorway speeds! And what is the problem with driving in EV on the motorway? Especially if the commute is in to the batter...

Re: Not automatically switching from battery to engine

At what speed you went over so the car automatically switched to engine power?
If battery condition is good and ambient temperature is normal the vehicle can keep going on el. power up to 135km/h. and it will do it unless you decide not to.

Re: 2018 Canadian PHEV wont run in ev.

Under those circumstances on very short trips, less than 5km. it is even worst than a petrol vehicle. There is no mechanical connection with the wheels only additional losses from electric energy conversion. Along with the relay change they do and an BMU update. This one I believe: https://testing-p...

Re: Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

We are aware that European models (at least software) is behaving like it should.
That being said does not change the fact that a lot of Canadians are complaining regarding unwanted and unnecessary ICE startups that you guys can easily avoid.

Why not just remove the ICE? All it takes is a spanner and a winch...
Because I need it twice a week and it takes me just a press of a button. Capiche?

If you want to remove yours, I don't mind, take a spanner and a winch. It's not my business.

Re: Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

The facebook group with similar problems is growing big and strong. People even with 2020 models are complaining regarding ICE start at ambient temperatures around 15C/60F. Myself yesterday, I did a long trip at 20C/68F. After the initial ICE warmup on the highway CHARGE-ing the battery with followi...

Never heard that click you are talking about.
I have checked on diagrams, the following relays are located at the cabin fuse box:
Blower relay, Heated seat relay, Heated steering wheel relay.
BTW ETACS-ECU is there as well.
