Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

https://www.sae.org/standards/content/j2807_202002/preview/ And where in this doc does it say that it is only applicable to pick-ups - not in the introduction (NB. I'm not going to pay $85 to read the full version) I did not mean in the literal sense it only applies to pickup trucks, but in the pra...

Re: What CAN I tow with PHEV

So, as in UK, the towing limit is declared by the manufacturer based on the laid down test and will vary model by model. I think suggestions that it is driven by fear of lawsuits are rubbish. In North America the only standardized test for determining maximum towing capacity is the SAE J2807 test, ...

Are you running wheels that are a different offset/width than the factory wheels and are wanting to correct the fitment, or are you running the factory wheels and just want a wider stance? They're a nominal 29.5" tall tire vs the factory 27.75", so they should have gained 0.9" of ground clearan...

Re: Maximum Tire Size After 40mm Lift?

I'm on the 40mm lift kit. The rear control arms had to be replaced to get to a reasonable alignment spec. Do you recall how far out the rear alignment is without the adjustable camber arms? If it isn't excessively positive, (like +1 degree max) then I would think that is preferable since you gain n...

Maximum Tire Size After 40mm Lift?

Preface: Yes, I am aware this is not a rock crawling, trail bashing 4x4. I fully understand that and am not trying to turn this vehicle into one. I am merely looking into increasing the ground clearance a small amount in order for the vehicle to better handle the thousands of kilometers of mild fore...
