Re: Identifying CanBus parameters

There is PHEV FB page, where somebody has posted how he added a 2000 Ohm resistor to the temp sensor in the front grill of the car, and that seemed to do the trick for him. Try: https://www.facebook.com/groups/outlanderphev/search/?query=resistor&epa=FILTERS&filters=eyJycF9jaHJvbm9fc29ydCI6IntcIm5hb...

Re: Bye bye PHEV

Sorry to hear that, anko, but many thanks for all you've contributed to the forum over the years. Really appreciated your input. Will you be contributing to the Model 3 forum?? I'm currently thinking I might hold out with my PHEV till the Model Y arrives over here.....2021 maybe!! Thanks for your k...

Bye bye PHEV

As some of you know my PHEV was supposed to receive a new drive battery under warranty. Warranty replacement was granted on January 25th. But on March 20th the battery hadn't even shipped from Japan. After waiting for more than two months and with at least two more months of waiting ahead of me, I h...

Re: Battery Capacitance Measurement - Canada

I had my first DBCAM (Drive Brattery Capacity Automatic Measurement) performed about three years ago. Apart from being scheduled, I doubt this procedure would be something else.

Re: Evbatmon and Phev watchdog is showing the wrong SOH amou

Trex, IMHO you are missing my point. I have not said (or meant to say) the battery cells are not rated 40Ah. I also believe that the physical capacity is 40 Ah. I am just saying that (maybe in order to protect the battery) less than the full 40 Ah have been made available to us. What the BMU reports...

Could you please tell me, were you involved in any way with that 38 Ah being used in the formula of either of those 2 apps?

And if the answer is yes which one or was it both?
No, why? Do you think I am biased? ;-)

Re: Evbatmon and Phev watchdog is showing the wrong SOH amou

Your "initial available capacity" can be approx 40 Ah, as Mitsubishi has stated, even after the car was delivered it would seem if we believe what was written here: Further on this, reports are that the BMU shows 40 Ah when the capacity measurement procedure is carried out on the new batteries that...

To me it seems you are the one creating the problem. IMHO, everybody but you seems happy with how SoH is calculated by either apps.

Re: Drive battery degradation and replacement.

Or maybe the BMU DOES have a learning capacity and they have missed it? If the SOH has been seen to increase sometimes, it must have. I'm wondering if the default degradation calculation is a moving percentage that then gets a step function correction from time to time. My battery never showed an i...

Re: Evbatmon and Phev watchdog is showing the wrong SOH amou

In EvBatMon from the beginning I specifically used the label "PMC" which I coined myself as "Percentage of Manufactured Capacity", and not SOH, as I did not believe I was calculating a true SOH value.! And I think this number is what 95% of the people are interested in. And I wonder: If PMC has gon...
