Re: Charging a UK car in France

Not a problem. I do this weekly (which is as often as I need to charge at the moment). In my garage at home the Mitsu charge cable plugs into a UK 13A "mouth organ" where I have replaced the plug with a good quaity continental plug. Out and about, I have a much smaller version which is UK 3-pin rubb...

I spent 20 minutes searching for it last week with out luck. As I go back quite often, I would be really grateful if anyone can tell me where I should have been looking.

Re: sudden loss of all drive power on motorway

I had a similar experience last week when, after a steady run up from Paris to Caen at an average 115kmh, I was approaching a roundabout and it was as if the Phev decided to do it's own emergency stop: anchors down and ABS doing its stuff. Thank goodness there was nothing behind me. I still have abs...

Re: Warranty in uk/europe

I took delivery of mine from the UK in early December and have just had confirmation from my dealer that the warranty is valid from the date of delivery and that "old rules apply". 3 years + 5 on EV components. I might live to eat my words but, as an Engineer, I agree that significant manufacturing/...

Re: Charging information (international)

A couple of useful links for anyone traveling in France KiWhi has good coverage across the motorway networks, some car parks and the Auchan supermarkets. Easy to set up an account online and pre-load credit. My card arrived in about 4 days. Link: http://www.kiwhipass.fr/ For anyone in Paris, the Aut...

Re: Does the aerial come off easily?

Has anyone fitted a different aerial yet? Frustratingly, the OEM aerial is 5cm too long for my garage so I have to try to remember to unscrew it every time. ideally I would like a shark fin or jointed version but have no idea how easy it would be to replace. Any advice or suggestions would be apprec...

Re: Boot size dimensions

Our 2 year old Gordon Setter in more than happy enough with the boot. Not quite as much head room as the old Subaru, but plenty of space to sprawl. Just hoping that she is beyond teething on the screen!!

Not just a tissue holder

For anyone who has wondered what better use there might be for the tissue holder in the front arm rest - I have decided that it is the ideal place to store to two-pack of alcohol testers that are now mandatory for anyone driving in France.

What do you keep in yours?

Re: FrancoPHEV is on the road

Thanks, again, Franco but looking at the Tesla forum above suggests that there is a tethered cable with a type 1 J1772 plug on the end - so surely I won't need a Shuko adapter for these charging points, only if I wanted to connect to a French domestic socket :?[/quote] Sorry. That was me not being c...

Re: FrancoPHEV is on the road

Davec. Great news about you SANEF Bip&go tag. I've had mine for three years and wouldn't be without it. I now even use it to pay in the big car parks. With regard to charging on the motorway network, Google KiWhi and look at their web page. It looks as if they have good coverage on most routes. I ap...
