I don't see any overheating problem with my supplied charger. I use it practically every day, winter and summer and haven't seen any signs of overheating. Am I just lucky or is this a known problem? On mine, 2014 GX4H, it feels like a simple cable-operated release. Possibly a jammed or broken cable?

Pics of where the ambient sensor connects to the ETACS box (from FB), in case anyone wants to try. I think I'll leave it alone. It's contacts 4 and 9 on connector C416, it's not that clear on the drawing.

Pics of where the ambient sensor connects to the ETACS box (from FB), in case anyone wants to try. I think I'll leave it alone. It's contacts 4 and 9 on connector C416, it's not that clear on the drawing.

This unwanted and unnecessary engine starting is something that has always niggled me, and if it's as easy as swapping a sensor that I can get to, I'd do it. One point, it will affect the "Icy road" warning at 3C, is there a problem there? I presume it just won't give that warning?

The bit you can see when the plug is assembled is, indeed, plastic. The micro-switch actuating lever is the small metal piece at the end of the arrow in the picture. Although you might have broken the end of the plastic latch, the assembly should still work, as long as the plastic arm bears onto the...

Possibly the same as above - the micro-switch in the car plug not operating correctly.
