Re: Wobbly driver seat in MY2020 Outlander

My 2014 GX4h has a slightly wobbly electric driver's seat too (only done 23,000 miles). It has done this for quite a while - a minor backward and forward rocking motion. Sometimes I don't seem to notice it and then at other times I do. Whether this means that it's an intermittent fault, or just that...

Re: New owner impressions

I've got used to the backward and forward motion of the selector lever - after about three years. I'm surprised they haven't moved the heated seat buttons by now but as suggested you do eventually get a feel for them. I have a 2014 GX4h and about the only thing that annoys me (especially at this tim...

Re: Heater question

The gas keeps dissapearing from my aircon and have been unable to detect how and where it goes. It has dye in it and I've got a 'black' light to highlight any obvious leaks. I think the Mitsubishi garage has a wand type device that should be able to detect if gas is coming out of any of the vents? ...

Re: Stolen Charger

I live in a nice, quiet part of the countryside where we don't seem to have thieves. Having said that I don't think the time has yet come in the UK where the type of people that steal things have realised the value of these cables, and as things stand at the moment there would be very few customers ...

Re: Heater question

My 2014 GX4h heater works just fine - toasty hot very quickly if needed - set temp. to 29C, windscreen doesn't steam up but side windows do sometimes, whether aircon is on or off. My GX4h has an electric heater as presumably that's how the cabin pre-heat facility works (which it still does) as the e...

Re: Outlander 2017 PHEV - Sealant for tyre

I had a similar experience on a windswept moor in Northumberland - huge gash on inside edge of rear tyre - don't know what caused it but it went down very fast and very flat. Squish would have been no use at all. Fortunately I had a full size spare wheel and tyre in the boot - securely strapped-in w...

Re: Are dealers simply ignorant, or dishonest?

I work for a car dealer (not Mitsubishi). Salesmen are only interested in selling what they have in stock to sell. You didn't mention if this was a Mitsubishi franchise or not. I seriously hope it wasn't! If it's a car supermarket or non-franchise they're not likely to have any PHEV vehicles as they...

Re: Brake lights come on in b5 brake regeneration

My 2014 GX4h doesn't have it either (well, as far as I'm aware it doesn't - I don't suppose I've ever been able to see if has as it's always best to be inside the car when involved in any re-gen activity) - so it's almost certainly a new model 'upgrade'. Can't say I'd be too keen though. All though ...

Re: Brake lights come on in b5 brake regeneration

Well I wouldn't be too hasty Megarax2019 (unless you really have already gone - in which case you just have been hasty). I wouldn't say that HaFr1954 was in any way typical of the sort of comments you'd normally find on this forum. It's the first time I've ever seen a comment like that. In fact I'd ...

Re: Brake lights come on in b5 brake regeneration

If I saw brake lights on for that amount of time (down a long hill) I'd be expecting at least smoke and a bad smell - or like you say, I'd be thinking silly old fart or OCD braking habit (some people do seem to have a kind of OCD braking habit where they keep pressing the brake pedal - maybe to see ...
