Re: Spare Tire Kit

I came across this spare tire kit which claims it fits the PHEV: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Mitsubishi-OE-2020-Outlander-PHEV-Spare-Tire-Kit-/383376074464 Anyone have experience with this? It seems like it goes in the space where the battery lives, but I remain intrigued. The lack of a spare ...

Re: Spare Tire Kit

If the spacesaver is of a different dimension than the original tyre, the car will certainly complain.

Re: steep hill vehicle stall

I recently had a 'panic moment' on a steep incline. Not towing or anything, but (having previously owned a Tucson 4X4 which would go anywhere ) I had reverse-parked down a fairly, but not excessively steep incline, thinking driving out would be a breeze. How wrong was I? When I tried to leave, I di...

That would be illegal. in any case, the running lights are LED, so the power drain is minimal.

Re: Just found me a "new" one...

Yeah - it takes it about 15.000 below new, I couldn't pass it up ;) Part of the advantageous price is that it comes from Germany, that gives a tax reduction and the "Chesterfield" leather is a German extra. Actually, I only find the new design tolerable with silvery-grey colours.

Re: Just found me a "new" one...

No idea, it is something I never bothered about; I do recall that it was fairly normal according to my dealer at the last service. (they monitor the SOH with each service). I can only say that it is winter, and it will run over 30 km on a charge on average. I know because my commute is 25 km. In the...

Just found me a "new" one...

The present one being 7 years old, with 150.000 km on nthe clock, I asked my dealer to find me a replacement. He just bought this one for me, about 5000 Euro under the going rate. Mid-2019 2.4 ICE, 15.100 km, Instyle German spec. Very happy, it will arrive end of next week. WhatsApp Image 2021-02-17...

Re: Electric range of 2017 Outlander PHEV

- and "wind chill" when driving is unlikely to help. It is the battery temperature that defines range not ambient. So if air temp is 2/3, as above, the battery is likely to be still below freezing. Wind chill doesn't affect inanimate objects with no water to evaporate Except when the object ...
