Using PHEV as a backup generator

Just wondering how much power I could suck out of my 2020 using the 110v outlet in an emergency situation. I'm pretty sure that there is enough amperage to run my furnace ... but for how long? Has anyone done the math for a PHEV with a full tank of gas and a full charge so as to output total kWh? If...

Re: Regenerative Braking

Pressing the brake pedal doesn't necessarily put on the physical brakes :) It will engage regen up to a point and then the pads-on-metal. The point is determined by the car's software ... current speed, current battery level and the amount of foot pressure all go into the calculation.

Re: J1772 handle problem

I looked again today and think the only place to dick with is the outside sleeve which goes into the car. I'll take some sandpaper or emery cloth and have a go. I think we're talking a very small amount.

Thanks.

Re: Phone in 2020 GT

Thanks for the replies. I can use google, but I need to plug in for that ... which seems silly if I'm just going into town. On my 2018 the phone was just fine. It had the mitsubishi radio and I could just hit the button on the steering wheel and say "call george" and it'd look up "george" in my cont...

Re: Phone in 2020 GT

I'm replying to my own post to bring it up ... no responses at all :) And no solutions either ... I dropped by the dealer and the service manager playing with it and said "Oh, but that is an awful interface" ... yeah, that's why I was there :)

J1772 handle problem

I've got a Duosida "charger" and am having problems getting it in and out of the plug on my 2020. It worked fine on the 2018, so I have no idea what's going on. The 110v charger which came with the 2020 is easy to get in and out. But 220v unit needs 2 men and a boy to extract. I've felt as it goes i...

Re: 110 volt outlets pretty much useless

Discovery! If you set the light switch to OFF and enable the electric park brake and then switch to car to ON the daytime running lights will not come on. So, now when you use the 110v (or 220 depending on your country) you'll have a dark car. Switch off the AC/Heat as well and you have a great big...

Have you got a PDF of the manual? At least you can then do a text search...
I've got the 2019 manual. I am unable to find the 2020 Canadian (US?) on line. But, yes, it is easier to look in the PDF!
