I want to test my mini vci is installed correctly before I shell out 60 bucks for the Nikolay Fedeev drivers for MUT 3.

Will the Toyota Techstream software get data from the PHEV, or do I need the Fedeev drivers to get Techstream to work?

I installed the mini-VCI and Toyota Techstream V13 as directed by a video on the installation CD.

Got as far as plugging into the car, opening Techstream, hitting "connect to vehicle", entered the long registration key......

Then nothing.

So to answer my own question, Toyota Techstream does nothing on the PHEV, only the mini-VCI installation is required as a step to running MUT-3 with the Feedev drivers?

Under USB Controllers in Device Manager there is:
Vehicle Interface Module
DENSO Windriver
and in COM ports:
USB Serial Port COM 3, FTDI, no errors.

Of course I noticed that Techstream is branded Toyota.

But it's OBD2 software, so it could work to some degree with any car, which is why I queried in the first place.

What would be helpful is confirmation that only the connection to the mini-VCI is required to drive MUT-3.
