Getting these two warnings on the dash of my 2016 outlander phev time to time.
EV system service required, stop safely
RBS service required
Engine won't kick in when these warnings come up
Vehicle is hard to move using the electric motor itself, can't even climb small heights like small curbs
Got this warnings for the first time, like a month ago and sent it to a shop and they told me that there's water in the battery, so had to clean that (was an expensive job)
And I did some research and found that this is causing because of a firmware issue.
Are any of you guys going through the same problem?
Would like to know where I can download or get the latest firmware updates
"TSB-18-54-005 - requires SUB BMU ECU update"
"C1809 asc-ecu update"
These are the updates that are required
Since we don't have a good local dealer here.
Well I have one trusted dealer where I can get all my updates done but it's good to have them prepared before hand just so you know.
