Hello everyone. Am new to the forum, as I recently brought a 2014 PHEV. I had a Prius before, but needed more space with a growing family, so I reckon I made the right choice that keeps the wife happy aswell...an SUV which is environmentally friendly. Anyway, my question is, how difficult is it to remove the number plate light bulbs, to replace them with LED ones?

Welcome, dead easy job. When they say "minus" screwdriver, they mean a flat blade one.

I've done this mod. and it's dead easy. Just be aware though that the typical LEDs bought from eBay are variable in quality and therefore longevity. Failure of the LED happens gradually and the first indication will be flickering of one of the LEDs which, of course, you can't see unless you walk round the back when the lights are on - something I do fairly regularly to check the LEDs are still working.

Hi all, can you share what the results are like? In the past I have changed other car's plate bulbs but I always find that the white LEDs were just too bright, I'm hoping to find something that is the same intensity as the current original normal bulbs but that emits a white light instead...

Would appreciate some recommendations if possible! Thanks

I just order this LED license plate assembly, a pair for $10. It looks like a direct replacement. I will let u know if it works or not.

It fits perfectly like a charm.
