5 seats or 7 seats in the Outlander PHEV?

Hi, does anyone know if the Outlander PHEV will have 5 or 7 seats? At first they were calling it 7 seats, and the non plug-in hybrid will have 7 seats.

However, I saw somewhere that the Outlander PHEV will only have 5 seats because they needed room for the rear electric motor and DC-DC converter?

On the other hand, PluginCars.com is reporting 7 seats?

Looks to be 5 seats to me, I have to agree that Mitsubishi needed the space for the rear electric motor and other plug-in hybrid components.

Here's a picture of the rear cargo space and plug storage, wouldn't be room for 2 seats back there

And another image showing the Outlander Plug-in's 5 seat configuration:

Sorry! I was hoping for 7 seats too!

So far from what I've read on the Outlander PHEV Forum, its 5 sitter.

The on-board charger and rear inverter is in the spot the 3rd row seats would normally be on the Outlander ICE

I'm pretty sure that Mitsubishi is going to offer the third seat option in the Outlander as a equipment option with a bigger price tag. If not it would be a huge mistake by Mitsubishi because it is a SUV they are making and an optional third row is a must in my opinion. And if a Tesla S(sedan) can have it, it should be a must for the Outlander PHEV.
