I joined GB Energy in Sep when I collected my PHEV and been paying around 10p kwh for charging (£30 pm) - I'm gutted to read this today - comparisons sites are showing deals approx 15p kwh (£45 pm)

Someone has recommended http://www.iresa.co.uk/ who appear to be cheapest but wondering if anyone here has experience or better deal to recommend :?

I switched to Iresa at the start of November... Their prices were good (9.82p/kwh) but their support is absolutely terrible (they ignore support tickets via their website, and when you call them they don't seem to have much of a clue what to do either). They don't support smart meters, and they seem to be utterly unable to work out how to switch me over to economy 7. They also weren't able to install the 100A isolator switch that Chargemaster were asking to have installed prior to coming to visit. (Fortunately chargemaster found an installer (Glen) who was willing to do the work without isolating the supply, so my charge point got installed this morning).

Still... as long as they keep on supplying me at 9.82p/kwh I'm willing to forgive the poor support.

Looks like anyone affected should take a meter reading and wait :?

The new deal will almost certainly be expensive, so switch once you've got it

Once a new supplier is in place, should check if you have been put on a good deal, and switch if not, though we reckon the deal is likely to be expensive. You can use our Cheap Energy Club to do a full market comparison and then switch.

If you're a customer, don't switch away until the new supplier has been appointed partly because the process will be smoother later, and to protect your credit balance, if you have one.

I have used Coop Energy for the last couple of years. They were highlighted by Which Magazine as having the best deals.
