Hi i'm a newbie i have a 2011 outlander and am having trouble with the bluetooth cutting out and back in. I like the look of the unit in the PHEV models but don't know if you can swap the units out without loosing the " hidden menu " that lets you set up things like the light sensitivity and wiper settings. has anyone tried swapping out factory head units ? cheers

Highly unlikely. The PHEV unit is integrated with the electronics of the car, which bear no resemblance to any other model of Outlander.

sorry for the long delay in my reply i have been sulking lol. Thank you for the reply. I have been intouch with a few service centres who seem very reluctant to give any advice besides contact a dealer and take the car in to let them look at it !!!! Do you know if there is an OEM unit that will keep all the functions from the cars computer system ? it looks like vw and citroen use the same unit.
cheers
