Hi All

Our works are installing some charging points, whoo hoo :D ... however I am not sure what cable I need in order to use them.
Until now I have only ever used the supplied (granny) charger from a domestic plug.

We are installing the Rolec 23kw pedestals but their website is not very clear about which plugs they have.
Can anyone advise as to which cable I would need to charge my PHEV?
I appreciate it will not use the full 23kw but presumably the car will only use what it can or do I need something to reduce the power going to the car?

I did try to search but the forum wont let me include 'cable' as a search phrase

Thanks for any advice.

You'll need a type 2 to type 1 cable - loads around if you use a search engine. You only need a 16A cable as the PHEV can't charge any faster. But a 32A cable is only a few quid more, thicker so more robust, but harder to coil up. You may find one secondhand, but the main users are Mk1 LEAFs and PHEVs, so not too many about
