One issue with our Swedish car that i want every user to be aware about, and have checked.

Half(just my impression by checking different license plates) of our cars is registred with wrong tyre dim.
Half of the cars have correct 225/55-18, but half has got 255/55-18.
This is very serious as we are allowed to change the with of our tyrest with one dim. especially for the winter tyres, in normal cases down to 215, as the City model here has 215/65-16 tyres original.
But if the car has the wrong dim. registred 255, you have 3 dim smaller tyres on summer, and in some cases 4 dim. smaller in winter.
This is elegal, and you can run into majour problems if you are in an accident.

My suggestion, check your car, if you have wrong dim. registred, Contact Mitsu in Sweden and they will help you, they are aware of the problem and helped me Quick and correct.

I have a brand new set of 16" alu wheels from a 2016 model, can be sold with or without tyres, with summer or Winter tyres, with or without TPMS, and i can program the TPMS to your car if you want, in Stockholm area.
I mostly post this to get us Swedes up the list, we are too far back.
See you in Eurovision Song Contest, and thanks Australia for the 12 Points!

Hi s

New owner here. So far, very pleased, but "El-DTE" should show a little more than 30km when taking the car out of the charger in the morning. Something I should look up a little more?

Took a while to get up the WiFi connection. The procedure described in the app vs. Mitsus manual was not directly agreed and I had to find a way to make it work.

A little crazy about replacing some of the old fashioned lights with the LED. Have read some of the forums about the change but there are tips on lights you can buy in Sweden, as you know, works. For example, thinking about the fog lights that would have to be replaced.

Some tips and tricks You more experienced owners feel that you want to share

The "guessometer" will only show an approximate estimate based on your driving before. Having the airconditioning switched on will show an even lower alledged range.
The best way to get some idea about the real range is getting experience with the behaviour of the charge level meter.
The car is very sensitive to driving style in its electricity consumption.

I would add some words : Having the air-conditioning switched on will show an even lower alledged range, in a very pessimistic manner.

And the car is of course very sensitive not only to driving style but to driving conditions too. For example I can reach -in summer- 50 km in EV mode very easily between 70 to 90 kph with a few stops, but it's extremely hard to reach 45 km at max 50 kph in the urban traffic with a lot of stop and go at lights etc ... even with an eco driving style.

Got a recall from the swedish dealer stating I must get the car to a garage to get the ECU and plugs swapped.

Anyone heard what the cause is? What will change?

I wonder if it is linked to this? http://www.myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=459&p=36460&hilit=recall#p36460

Looks like it. Thanks.

I would really like to know more though. Maybe a call to the local dealer would shed some light.......

That recall has been suspended here:

Someone had it done and it didn't go well......

my car has had the recall security patch applied and it was after this patch that i starred getting errors and the car started to behave strangely. lucky i took photos of the errors as they where random and i could not recreate them.

now my car is still at the service center. i was told that japan is looking into it. it might be a new ECU, but at this point im not sure what will happen. it is thought that the software patch has caused the errors and so this might be why they might have suspended the recall.

Where is "here" ?

You got a patch, not a new ECU ?

Really sounds like I'd better call the local dealer and see what they think...

Oho!

I've been having problems since a software update (before the recall) I wonder if this is related to your experience?

Can you provide any more information about the odd errors?

Andy

I'm about to take my car to it's first MOT.

Emissions should be no problem since they can read fault codes via OBD. Correct?
I don't want them to try to start the engine and getting it warm at the station...

Brakes. Can anything get damaged if they do the normal brake tests?

Hmmm, dunno about Sweden, but I can't imagine any MOT testing station in Britain issuing a certificate without starting the engine!
