What cost peace of mind? With a towbar mount you have zero worries, whatever the terrain and however fast you corner. With any other mount system you have the worry of damage to the car or losing the bike off the back, both of which would be very costly. I would buy once and buy right and pay the extra for the best possible solution.

I hear what you are saying and agree. Only issue with that being my outlanders a company car and will be going back in 18 months or so. Looking at the towball and fitting its around £600, obviously a dead loss when the car goes back. I am hesitant re the saris bones ex though.

Any cheaper links for towball fitment? I would need to use plug in wiring too to avoid losing the warranty on the company car.
