Just have to say we purchased our first PHEV in July 2014, we licked it so much that we got another. We still like the cars apart from this serious fault management defect/poor heating system.

Sorry to say your coolant pump could now be burned out due to trying to pump little or no coolant. I can't understand why the PHEV has no warning light for low coolant level on its heating system. If there is no heating clearing the windscreen, this could result in a major accident.

Sounds like you could have the same issue that's annoyed us for 2 years. It started with a coolant leak under the front passenger seat side after taking it to the dealer numerous times they said it needed a new pump this cost (with the other visits) over £500.00. I explained how dangerous this...

Would my 64 plate (that specified 3 year warranty when we purchased it) heat pump that had to be replaced recently at £426.00 be covered?

I had a coolant leak in the summer and the "reserve" (as mentioned in the manual) coolant tank was slightly below the minimum level on the white plastic tank, the coolant was blue in colour so you could see the level. Good point, but it was £89.00 for just a hours labour, no parts were replaced in releasing the original air block. Do you guys think I could go back to the dealership and reclaim the £426.00 on the basis of the original air block work being under warranty still.

Read 1 report stating the Volvo v60 plug in came second and the prius hybrid plug in came 7th, perhaps Which should do a separate test for plug in's or take all cars over a set 52km with the plug in's fully charged 1st.
