    Charging protocol

Hi Tony Sorry to disagree but I certainly would not be disconnecting someone's vehicle What then happens if you create a complete shutdown of that persons vehicle I think they would be rather upset coming back to their car and finding out they now need the AA or RAC to tow their vehicle away...

Need some help folks - Home charge unit research UK

Hi M8 I think what people are saying m8 is for FUTURE proofing. Our PHEV only charge at 16A but most of the new cars are 32A, so therefore if you get a 32A charge master not tethered in other wards with a socket, then you need to buy a 7 pin to 5 pin cable so that you can charge the PHEV, but...

    Home charging - confused!

Hi m8 I am sure they will, you may be better trying charge master which is the same unit that BG deals with. Some others on here seem to have had better service from them. In any case, don't let it put you off buying this great car, you will always have the charging unit that comes with the...

    Home charging - confused!

Hi m8 Just been out and checked the width of the Rolec 32 amp tethered unit I have and it's 9 1.2 inches including the cable wrapped around. Looking at the gents garage door pillar at the bottom it looks like the width of the pillar is around 12 inches as the bricks on the floor should be at...

    Home charging - confused!

Hi m8 Confirm the previous post best with 32 amp tethered. Looking at your central pillar both the charge master/polar, and the Rolec charging stations should fit on there. Remembering that if its an Outlander PHEV you are going for, the charging is on the right rear. Petrol on rear left. Graham
