    freeway charging

Haha, I don't have the time or energy to fully explain this all to you. If you can't figure it out, that's on you. Take care!

I guess a better choice of words would be "wasteful"? If you don't have anywhere else to use up that juice other than the highway, obviously use it. But it's a much better use of the juice and will save you money if you save it for slower speed driving.

    freeway charging

Yes, As I described, and maybe I wasn't clear. I meant left in NORMAL when on the highway IF you don't have any juice left in the battery. Otherwise use SAVE to save that juice for use later in a better situation (slow speed urban driving). AND, if you don't have any juice in the battery...

Traction battery replacement US MY2018 GT

Outside of North America and specifically the UK, the traction battery had a degradation warranty on it. Once it got below 60% SOH it was replaced under warranty by authorized dealers. I follow an Outlander PHEV - UK group and constantly read of battery replacements taking place. I would...

How long take the pre-heat your car

No, it just won't work if there isn't enough battery power available. If the cars thinks it needs to start the engine, it just won't work.

Here's the difference: The vehicle is more efficient when just left alone and running as a hybrid vs when running on "Charge" mode. You use more gas running on Charge than you do on "Normal". Generally, the electricity you generate in Charge mode uses more energy and costs more than charging...

drive battery running to end of life

Wow... I think you'd have a good case for fraud. Not sure what your small claims process is like in Spain, but I think there's more than enough evidence available that this guy did the MBU reset with the specific intention to mislead you into thinking it had a healthy battery when it very...

How long take the pre-heat your car

I have a 2022 and find 10 minutes just warms the car a little. Not really noticeable unless it's quite cold. It does sort of "prime" the heater though and find it's ready to give good heat as soon as I get in. But when I set it for 20 mins... it's like an oven when I get in the car, haha...

    Hotel Charging

A quick google search shows many North American and European airports with hundreds of chargers. He's an article about LAX adding 1300 chargers. https://electrek.co/2022/08/19/lax-adds-1300-ev-chargers-new-revamp/

WARNING: Phev 2022 Regen Braking Hopeless

Simply by providing comment on a thread questioning whether or not the driver would have to use the brake pedal while using Mitsubishi's so called "one-pedal" system... obviously implies to those reading your comment that you were talking about what or who was actuating the physical friction...

WARNING: Phev 2022 Regen Braking Hopeless

By the car, obviously, yes, haha, but not by the human, which was implied by your statement because the point we're arguing about here is that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV calls their system "one pedal mode" implying that the vehicle will apply the fiction brakes on it's own, without driver...

WARNING: Phev 2022 Regen Braking Hopeless

Whoa, that a very confident statement for a system that is widely used and any cursory google search would show you otherwise. Many EV's have a true "one-pedal" mode that brings you to a full stop without having to touch the brake pedal. This is the true definition of one pedal driving and I...

WARNING: Phev 2022 Regen Braking Hopeless

Are you sure about the heat pump? Everything I've researched online says the new version does have a heat pump. Also, another question for you... it's come up that the "One Pedal" feature doesn't actually bring you to a complete stop and you still have to use the brake pedal to fully stop. Is...

New Phev specs released it seems

Thanks for letting me know... and yes it does sound like the "one pedal driving" will be the way to go! Also, as already mentioned... even as little as a few kms at highway speeds (80kms/h and up) will seriously affect your range. It's actually a little know item about EV's. Almost all...

New Phev specs released it seems

We also all know that even a "minimal" distance at 100km/h will have a serious effect on overall range. Even just a few kms at that speed drops range considerably. Also remember this person is in Aus or New Zealand (not sure where he said which), so it's the winter there. Frankly, if they are...
