    Just done 100,000miles UK: report

Hi greendwarf, If your battery is similar range then it must be deterioration through age perhaps? Pity Mitsubishi packed up and left the UK or I might try to get it repaired. Trying to get an EV now is very hard. They have such a long order time. Hope you find one you like. Cheers!

    Just done 100,000miles UK: report

Hi All, So I've had it from new and just clocked up 100,000 miles Very brief report! Gxh3 two split driver's vinyl seats (one replaced under warranty, but then it happened again) one totally restrung handbrake a couple of rear wheel bearings bits of the plastic interior keep getting kicked...

Anyone else who wouldn't have a PHEV again?

So, just going back to the original question... I am happy with the way the car functions. I am less happy with the way the car is put together and the service from the dealership. Build quality is very low: my driver's seat has cracked badly and in many places (and a couple of other issues)...

    Tyre longevity

    I agree with Karl

    Tyre longevity

Yep, I mean it doesn't handle that well when cornering hard in the wet - and it scrubs out the front tyres; particularly on the outside edge.

    Tyre longevity

Hi Tyre wear is not bad at all considering the weight of the vehicle. If you drive carefully you'll easily get to 25,000 miles or more, but corner hard and you'll scrub out the fronts. They really take a beating in the nose-heavy PHEV.

Battery Save Works Until You Stop...

Hi All, Ever noticed this? You've got a long motorway journey ahead. You press battery save with 20 drive battery miles left. You do a bit of overtaking and the range comes down to 16miles - but before it can recharge back up to 20miles you stop at the services. When you get back in the car you...

Regen - does higher B make acceleration less efficient?

Hi sheselectric, Have yout tried this?: Paddle down to B0 Find a level road Drive at a constant 30mph (or similar) watch the eco/power dial (needle should be steady) Paddle up to B5 and the needle moves Thanks! :D

    Eco mode button

Yep, fair enough jaapv. I've just re-read what it says about the Eco-button on the Mitsibishi website and it says "4WD eco-mode" It does handle differently though. Not the same as in Normal mode. Thanks :D

    Eco mode button

Hmm, not sure about this. The PHEV is EV already when fully charged except when performance is needed, or the drive battery is depleted. So why would you want/need an EV button? It's pointless. There's also a technical reason for it - Li Ion drive batteries hate being stressed so the PHEV...

Best method for economy on long road trip

Hi Guys, I think you are all correct. If you can hire a diesel - do it. If you can't or don't want to then, using battery save on motorways (regardless of eco-mode or not) sounds to be spot on. Do work out your mpg and post it here for us. I'm still using about half the fuel I would normally...

    Eco mode button

We are fairly convinced it puts the car into front wheel drive mode too and cancels out the rear motor. ...not to mention turning you into the smoothest driving chauffeur in the process. I mostly use eco-mode, but I have to admit that I'm a little worried about driving around using only one...

    Best Ever EV Range

I had an estimated range of 42miles today - do I win the prize?! :D

    GX3H PHEV Charging

Yes dave336d, Before I got my Polar from Chargemaster (free of charge (pardon the pun), I was using a WEMO socket I bought from Maplin. Mine was able to handle the power and because it connects to your wifi you control the times it switches on from your smartphone - and from anywhere in the...

    Ideas to max-out your MPG

Hi kentphev, I've kept it as real as possible (as real as hypermiling can be): charging the car whenever reasonably possible and I have been keeping it on eco mode too. Using B1,2,3,4 & 5 downhill only when it starts to run away from me and when coming up to junctions etc and B0 when not...
