How did you ever get the pins out? I've been trying for several hours even purchased damn pin removal tool from Amazon but can't get a single pin out. I'm going to end up destroying the connector housing at this rate prying. Really don't want to go the t tap or solder route.

For any future people who read this.. I did the install today and as you mentioned the driver side is a pain in ass. I ended up just slowly doing turns with a 19mm wrench and went at it till I can no longer turn. (only using it for a bike rack) but will need to check tightness probably after...

Which trim is your outlander? Was it as easy as the curt guide to find the plug? I still to this day have yet to find the tow plug in the trunk. I have the 2020 outlander phev LE. Been debating if I can't find a plug if I should cu and solder the curt harness in.

This is all I found behind the black trim. Couldn't see anything behind that black piece either. Curt in their instructions don't specify another location or a 2nd plug in the middle somewhere. the 4 wire plug thing I found does not look remotely like what the harness plug looks like.

Sorry I didn't describe it properly in my previous post. I took off the plastic trim in the trunk that covers the power lift gate's motor off and found no plug.

For any people in the future who are also curious. The electric motor oil change is roughly every 40,000km to 48,000km based on "how dirty the oil is" is what a mitsubishi tech told me. There is no dipstick. There are 3 bolts to remove. One to fill, one is a level, and a drain.

Maybe try a different cable? I don't have the exact same problem but I have a OP6 and when I plug in it always works... just my spotify always says "spotify doesn't seem to be working at the moment" and then I can't change songs unless I do it through my phone. Bluetooth the music data always...

Thanks. Got it working. Retainer was lightly too big for the NovSight led I bought with it. Ended up epoxying the retainer to the h7 base of the led to make it work

I want to get a hitch installed and the harness but curt says OEM tow package is required. Reading the instructions it says there is a plug hidden in the trunk after prying off some plastics. Does anyone know if this is comes factory or only select models have it? Mine's a LE. Will go pry stuff...

I'm very new to the phev. Just bought a 2020 phev and still don't understand how to use the serial and parallel drive. How do I select this? I only see normal mod, ev mode, eco, charge and save.
