Hey there,
I’ve been following this forum for around a month now. The reason? I’m really impressed about the tech this car throws! :)
I’m also a little disappointed with the bat degradation thing, specially in the 2019 models..
Given your own experience, and knowing the a similar price, Volvo...
Guys, I’ve been following this forum for more than a month now..
Bottom line: would you have bought the outlander Phev knowing what you know nowadays?
If yes, then just enjoy the thing! If not, work together to solve the thing that makes you uncomfortable with it.
There’s people on the German ev forum performing the same method that also mention the alarm light behavior. One of them had the alarm turning on a couple of times if I remember correctly.
But others had assured him that that behavior is to be expected.
Thanks for your input.
That’s exactly the thing I don’t want to go through.
And if the only way to deal with that decrease on the newer models is to have a really good relationship with the dealer or perform 1 whole day operations on the car by myself.. well thanks but no thanks
You're right. I'm surely exaggerating. I'm sure there must be (very) happy owners around here, and I might be telling bad thing about their rides :) Sorry!
In the end i think that's because I really think this concept is the way to go for my (and much more people's) daily routine. And it would...
Yeah.. at this rate that will be super easy:

Look, I'm all for the good user experience. iPhones did it by caping the performance system wide, were Apple could have done it only when needed (throttle the system when using the camera, but not when reading a SMS or email). That would be, IMHO the way to do it. They didn't!
Here Mitsubishi...
Thanks, I couldn’t have said it better!
If my shaver/iPhone/etc starts showing signs of wear, I’ll buy a new battery or a new one.
If the brand deliberately programs the shaver/iPhone/etc to behave differently when it could have better performance (same as new in the case of the iphones) but...
Well.. I would be kinda furious if I lost ~15% of of range in the first 3/4 months or 10.000kms..
I was almost to about to buy a PHEV (like, I'll buy one tomorrow) and as such I went on Youtube to watch some PHEV owners' videos to learn more of the car's functions.. I ended up staying up...
