    Battery Condition Report question

From my experience, if you are already concerned about battery capacity then you should not buy an Outlander PHEV. I use mine almost exclusively as an EV and it has lost about 6.6% capacity since May(!) according to PHEV Watchdog. I am seriously looking at alternatives.

Auxiliary battery drain when parked causing EV system Fault

Picked up my car from the dealer today. Apparently the lower pin on the charging port had come loose and had been pushed in (the dealer and I noticed it was shorter than the others when trying to diagnose the fault previously, but thought it meant to be like that as a safety feature). They just...

12v aux battery drain when PHEV locked/unlocked

That's what I thought! Turning them on in turn increases the current drain by around 1A each. I checked the specs on a replacement bulb website and it seems about right. I will definitely be considering changing them for LED bulbs. To answer Martini's question: yes I do have the wifi enabled.

12v aux battery drain when PHEV locked/unlocked

I turned all the lights off. Interestingly though they seem to draw around an amp each which makes sense for 12V bulbs.

Auxiliary battery drain when parked causing EV system Fault

After some investigation, I have determined that I do not have a large parasitic drain on the AUX battery so that is a relief. I still have an issue with the drive battery losing charge while parked, which even caused me to have to use the ICE on Wednesday to get home, which I don't normally...

12v aux battery drain when PHEV locked/unlocked

I was investigating my parasitic drain this evening and connected my multimeter in series with the battery to measure the current drain, so I can tell you with the doors closed and after all the systems have settled down there is a ~20mA drain with the doors locked and alarm on and ~10mA with...

Auxiliary battery drain when parked causing EV system Fault

Mine is also a 2014 MY car and it definitely charges the AUX battery at the same time as charging the drive battery. It does not charge if the drive battery isn't charging though, so just leaving it plugged in won't necessarily charge the AUX battery. From my experience, the battery can go flat...

    Drive battery degradation and replacement.

From what I can see the new battery is degrading as fast as the old one so any gain is short-lived.

Auxiliary battery drain when parked causing EV system Fault

I still have problems, althogh today I made it to work and back on a single charge. The battery meter was the same when I left work as when I parked, but the guessometer was 3 miles lower. However, on plugging it in at home the charge indicator on the dash started flickering and it took about 3...

    Charge complete indicator?

The one time I charged my car at a public charger there was an lcd screen which indicated that the charge had finished.

    Traction battery charge 12v daily?

It also charges the auxilairy battery while it is charging the drive battery.

Auxiliary battery drain when parked causing EV system Fault

I left my previous car in a car park near Heathrow for a month while I visited family abroad and it started first time on my return. To answer your question, I don't think the problem is resolved, as the main battery had lost a significant amount of charge while I was at work, about 15% down...

    Charging timer and preheat bug

Looking at the date of the first post in this thread, I just realised it was dated several months before my car was even registered! I can't believe that over 4 years later people are still having to find workarounds for this issue. Although given the reluctance of my dealer to fix the wifi...
