Anybody charged the PHEV from 12v to AC Inverter ?

I have done a fair bit of charging using off grid 24v and 48v solar systems. (12v Just wont cut it when you want to constantly do more then 1kw). Using this inverter/controller and the 6amp charger. You will have No problems...

My Outlander experiences, towing, camping, fuel use ect.

The Tyres are always in the 36-39psi range. No i didn't air down for the dirt roads, it was places that 2wd's could probably get to. I just noticed it was a bit slippery and know the limitations as a "soft roader" compared to my old hard core 4wd. I wouldn't take the PHEV too far with no...

My Outlander experiences, towing, camping, fuel use ect.

I have had my outlander for about 10 months so i thought I would write a few things that I have noticed and done with my car! First off, I love it! Most of my use around town is full electric ( I charge at around 15 cents per KW AUD) and then a lot of my longer trips are almost full ICE (AUD...

Leaving the PHEV idle for 2 weeks -?problem

Yes, Don't leave it fully charged this will degrade the battery over time. Lithium likes to be stored at 30-50% SOC, which on the Phev is anything from 0 to a 3rd full on the gauge. I would leave it about half just to cover any small drain from the 12v system ect.

Leaving the car Idle while in "ready" Mode

The fridge would probably be fine for running for half a day or so in the boot, but it will shorten it's life and there is a risk that it could fail early making the car unable to turn on without a jump. I only plan to run no more then the max 120w out of the plugs. So with a 40w fridge (when...

Leaving the car Idle while in "ready" Mode

It's a bit of a procedure! Jump in the car with all the doors closed. Press lock all doors on the switch near the window controls. Separate the key from the key fob. Leave the proximity fob in the car and unlock the drivers door from near the handle and hope out. Then lock the drivers door...

Leaving the car Idle while in "ready" Mode

Hi everyone, another one from Australia here. Had my PHEV for a few months now and loving the different things I can do with this car over a normal ICE. I have finally figured out how to lock the car while it is ready mode. I plan to this so I can get 14v from the traction battery to the...
