Couple of questions about dashboard display...

Just for confirmation if anyone else is looking at this thread - you can use the multi-function display button to clear warning messages, but it needs a 'long press' (1-2 seconds I think) for it to work.

Couple of questions about dashboard display...

Thanks all! I thought I'd tried the multi function display button, but maybe I didn't. As you mention, it's in a really awkward place to see when driving, so probably need to learn to find that button by 'touch'. Seems weird that they display the speed on the limiter but not cruise control...

Couple of questions about dashboard display...

Hi all, We've just bought a 2015 PHEV and are very pleased with it..... I've been through the manual a couple of times, but I have a couple of questions about the dashboard display (the multi information display it is called in the manual). 1. When I use the Speed Limiter it clearly shows the...

I have a 2015 model and I'm also unsure if I am entitled to 'free' satnav updates?

10 character WiFi password, old app (android)

So my PHEV still has a 10 character password for the WiFi I understand that the new PHEV android app won't work with this. Does anyone have a link to the old app, or an APK for it? From reading online i see the old app may not work on modern Android phones, but I do have an older device I can...

    Charging cable, weatherproof?

Thanks both. I noticed when I unplugged mine last night the three pin mains plug was very warm. I know the charger is potentially pulling close to the maximum current that domestic mains can supply, but is that normal? I'm concerned that using a small, enclosed outdoor socket may be a problem as...

    Charging cable, weatherproof?

Can anyone confirm if the control box on the charging cable (near the 3 pin plug) is weatherproof? I'm wondering if I'm just need a weatherproof 3 pin socket (the type with the large cover so you can close it with a plug in), or one of the bigger waterproof boxes that will protect the plug...

Outlander PHEV engine/gearbox design and high mileage

Thanks all for your thoughts, advice and information. I will certainly try to test the battery range if possible. Is the battery usage roughly 'linear' (assuming relatively consistent driving conditions and driving style)? If I can only test drive 5 or 10 miles, should I see 25% or 50% battery...

Outlander PHEV engine/gearbox design and high mileage

We are considering a 2nd hand Outlander PHEV, probably 10(ish) years old based on our budget... Having watched a number of videos online, there seems to be varying descriptions of how the electric motor(s?) and petrol engine work? From what seemed (to me) the most knowledgeable video, I...
