I have the old Sat Nav unit in my '16, it is junk, we tried to use it, now we use Waze on our Android on a dashmount. I am on a pay as you go phone, the amount of data used is minimal as the maps are downloaded/updated via WiFi.

I have Android 8.1 and the app works fine for me. The only thing under 8.1 I have to do is ensure mobile data is manually switched off.

Highest current you can get to future-proof. I have a 32Amp charger but my Outlander can only take 16amp max (apart from the DC). If you have solar panels there are devices can can route the excess to your car instead of sending it back to the grid. Please let me know if I should translate any...
