Fuel system service - warning on display

I have owned by PHEV for 3+ years and for the first time I had the dreaded fuel system warning sign appear and the petrol engine roared into life. Due to covid restrictions I haven't been able to drive any long distances and its been 3 months since I last added any fuel. Some interesting...

    Australians down under

I found a wheel on gumtree, its from a non-phev model and has slightly different spokes but it is the same overall size as the phev wheel. I think I paid $100 for it. Unfortunately, there is no way to store it under the car, it just sits in the luggage area in the back taking up lots of space...

Flattened auxiliary battery - any consequences?

After following this forum for a number of years and reading about the issues with failed auxiliary batteries, I have finally experienced it today. Turned the car on this morning, got a blue light in the ignition switch and nothing else other than the wipers and the parking lights came on which...

It was replaced and the problem was fixed. I don't know whether...

    No regenerative braking

Simple explanation, when the battery if fully charged there is no where for the power from regeneration to go. Consequently for the first few kilometres after charging there is minimal regeneration.

I did my first long trip last weekend, had to attend a funeral in Glen Innes. So Sydney-Glen Innes, with 4 people going up and 5 coming back, in hot conditions 36-40deg with the AC on all the time and no charging at the destination, overall fuel consumption for the 1400km round trip was 6.9...

    Trip meter set up

The manual mode is set by the trip meter. Therefore, if you do not reset the trip meter you will get the long term energy usage figures. I normally set trip meter A each time I fill up and use trip meter B for long term recording. The auto function is handy for short term figures. Like AndyH I...

    Australians down under

I am a new owner, bought a 2014 model with only 8700km on the clock in Melbourne last week. Very happy with it, still learning all the little tricks that are part of these cars.
