    Irritating brake noise

Agreed, car problems have come at the worst time: while there's little excuse for driving about for most people (I'm a key worker...) it means less need of going out, but if something goes wrong or needs fixing, all the garages are shut. As my 12v has just died, taking the rest of the car with...

    Irritating brake noise

Dear all, As an update: after some toing and froing (happy to go into another time, however), the dealer finally changed the pads. They were reluctant due to Mitsubishi's demand pads and discs don't come under warranty, but both me and the dealer refused to accept that claim for an issue raised...

    Noisy Brakes

I'm posting an update to my possibly related issue in about three minutes...

    Irritating brake noise

UPDATE: Took dealer two days to 'detect' what it might be, despite me taking their boss out for a drive before booking it in and him identifying likely cause immediately. Then they discovered Mitsubishi (presumably UK) doesn't have the necessary parts so they're on order from Japan. (sigh)...

    Battery 'whistling' and B5 effectiveness

UPDATE: Dealer said the whistling is tyre noise. (silence) I have my doubts, but we'll see what happens come the motorway next week...

    Battery 'whistling' and B5 effectiveness

Thanks all so far, particularly recent comments regarding regen as that's helpful to bear in mind. Whistling is still apparent (it's not loud, but loud enough to sound unintentional)) and is accompanied by another different but high frequency squeal at speeds above forty. Car in next week (need...

    Battery 'whistling' and B5 effectiveness

Evening all, Potentially two separate issues but they both appeared at the same time, so... 1. Anyone noticed a high-pitched whistling appearing after the battery is about halfway in the green bar? It isn't the usual welcome background hum (less spaceship taking off and more gnome under the...

    Irritating brake noise

Update: Dealer was excellent, wanted to come out straight away for a test, and it thankfully did the clicking on cue (we had those discussions about problems never manifesting when you need them to...). The clicking comes when braking slowly, but crucially when there's been some movement...

Metallic clinking / clunking sound during braking

I've just added a post about this, which I suspect is the same thing. Did you get any detailed information about what it could have been and did the clunking return?

    Irritating brake noise

Thank you all, very helpful, I shall go forth and remonstrate. As for the dealer, it is the only one where I live, and while I'm yet to have the car looked at mechanically when I transferred the warranty after import I knew more about Outlanders than they did. Which is odd for a Mitsu dealer...

    Irritating brake noise

Evening all, Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere: I've searched a variety of places on the interweb (and here) and haven't found anything exactly resembling the concern. If someone has technical parlance which could identify the issue and resolve it, I would appreciate it...

    New owner impressions

I'm a first-time buyer (4h - 2.4 update) and am annoyed at how much I'm enjoying it... It's a shame most comments so far are about its shortcomings, though. Ergonomically I absolutely commend the seating position: I needed a tall car and it's amazing to get into and out of, with...

    Who are you?

    1. Owner - as of 27th December 2. Model - 2018 4h 2.4 3. Facelift - 2019 4. What attracted you to the car initially - went through every other hybrid/PHEV and settled on the best balance for what I needed: short battery driving for daily commutes and petrol backup for annual longer drives on...

Not at all, much appreciated, thank you. God bless.

    Max range

Hello, Just got my first PHEV (2019 update - UK) and, both prior to buying and still now, I've found this forum to be extremely helpful. Thank you, all. This may have come up in another post but I haven't found it, so please (re)direct accordingly, but: can anyone post their highest...
