Good news, gave it a test run driving carefully never more then 30mph, not heating and being light footed managed to achieve 24.7 electric miles before petrol engine kicked in. The miles guesstimater was way out predicting 19 miles coverage at the start.
A big jump from 16miles predicted whilst...
Well definitely had stuck calipers which was replaced along with it's brake pads. Haven't had a chance to give it a run yet but initial run appears to stop the hot wheel problem. I am gonna guess it may take a few days for the mile guesstimater to recalculate before I know if it definitely...
Order the vgate icar pro from Amazon. Plugged it in. Kinda regret it cos there is a lotta info!
Not sure what I am looking at! How much degradation has the battery got?
Is there some dummies guide to that phev watchdog I can read?
thanks for the detailed stats. It does sound very similar to me as I got a 2016HS as well, and I am considering getting one of those OBD2 device to do a battery check.
I am stumped why such a bigger difference between summer and winter (mild winter) when its the same road I am travelling, same...
snap. my "local" mitsubishi used to be in blackpool but closed down a few years so my nearest garage is Preston which is probably 30 miles way but its a right faff getting there and time consuming. Because of that, it would mean I have to take half day off work each time to visit so I had no...
yeah, putting the heater/blower on will decrease the range. I didn't have it on at all at all. I live in a flat country so no hills either.
Got my car booked in to check brake calipers as thats a potential cause from what I read in this forum.
Also got an EV specialist booked in to do a...
Hi K9pvc, I am in a similar situation as you and considering getting my Mitsubishi garage to do a battery test as well because I am not seeing the range as expected anymore. Just under 8 year old car so still under warrantee. Unfortunately the garage saying it will take 2 hours to do the test...
Hi,
I have a 2016 HS Phev for nearly 8 years driving sensibly on on 30mph roads and we usually get around 24 miles of electric after overnight standard charge charge. Its only covered less then 50k miles. However, lately, its mile estimate dropped down to around 15-16 for no reason. The...
wow, quick response. you say that MMCS is totally wrong - better or worse off?
Thanks for the suggestion about EV consumption. googled it and it pointed me to..
https://ev-database.uk/car/1130/Mitsubishi-Outlander-PHEV
saying its 475wh per mile
and...
If I would be getting a new car, I normally factor in the Miles Per Gallon that I would be able to get out of it. However, with electric cars - all having various battery sizes, kw/h and longer charge times, is there an easy way to work out how efficient it would be compared to my outlander...
