    Steering/Castor?

I took mine to a performance automotive shop that does alignment for track vehicles and talked to the person who did the alignment to tell them what I'm looking for handling wise. Same shop works on my Subaru STI. Rather than focus on caster, they adjusted the camber slightly so that the car...

False Advertising - Class Action Lawsuit

Sorry your post is not accurate. Watch the videos from "Unplugged EV" on youtube for reference (or search this forum for the various reset methods) unplugged EVhas a lot of information on the pre-programmed artificial (timed!) reduction of the battery capacity that is present from the factory...

False Advertising - Class Action Lawsuit

2018 Canadian model - when I first got the car, it would still do full EV with the EV Mode button (no heater use) with temps below 11'C. Even at minus 1'C it would stay in EV provided that no heater, full battery, and not flooring it past the throttle threshold to turn the ICE on. It was...

Maximum Tire Size After 40mm Lift?

sorry for the delayed reply. Without the correct camber set (especially without added weight in the car) - the drivability is severely impacted. I drove with the stock alignment for a couple days on the OEM control arms and it was nearly uncomfortable how the steering response felt...

Winter Tires and rims for 2018 Outlander PHEV SE

At least here in Canada, I believe we have OEM PHEVs that some dealers include either the 16 or 17 inch rims from other versions of the outlander and they fit. Best to measure and confirm of course, but 17 should definitely clear the braking hardware on the 2018.

    Lift Kit installed

Rising tuning says that the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CBWGLVN camber bolts will fit the fronts. I'm not sure if these are what they include in their kit, as they forgot to put them in the package when they shipped. The ones i got from Tema4x4 look like the ones in the amazon link. The SPC...

Maximum Tire Size After 40mm Lift?

I'm on the 40mm lift kit. The rear control arms had to be replaced to get to a reasonable alignment spec. I'm currently running 235/60/18s on 8.5 x 18 rims - at the stock 38 offset. I have no clearance issues. I tried running 245/60/18 and while they generally cleared the wheel wells, on...

If you can post some pictures, I'll take photos of mine at the same angle to see if there are differences? Mine is a 2018.

    Lift Kit installed

I haven't noticed a big difference at all. I thought it would be more pronounced, but perhaps the fact that I'm using the lighter weight BBS wheels (they are only 18.5lbs per wheel) is providing an offset. I also tend to drive slow to maximize efficiency. The car still accelerates really...

Thanks for sharing! Yes I have a come-a-long as well just in case, but normally we are a 2 vehicle group. With the front-country campsites all busy this year, the added accessibility to the back country sites has been a welcome change. Happy PHEV'ing!

    Lift Kit installed

Of course, it's not a rock crawling, diff locking, mud, sand, and river crossing monster, but I've used it in deep snow, ice, and dozens of forest service roads here in BC's back country and it's been a great soft-roader. I'm coming from a line of Subaru's including a Forester, WRX, and 2015...

    Lift Kit installed

First off - thanks to BCBackRoader for taking the risk of trying the kit and sharing his experience with me. This was helpful! I bought the first kit off ebay from "Rising Tuning", however it was lost in the mail and never arrived after 4 months. I re-ordered a different kit from Tema4x4 which...

No - there are several other forum threads on it, it's just not consolidated in one place.

208/240 volt charger suggestions for Canada (ie with CSA app

I went with the Chargepoint Level 2 unit. It has a good app that allows you to monitor and control the charging. Around here in the BC lower mainland most of the public charging spots are also Chargepoint hardware so that app is very useful.
