Yeah you are right, the 3C warning is gone. Also with the dashboard temperature showing +21C, there actually is a real risk of not realizing the roads are freezing.
Another thing I have noticed, it is now possible to start A/C cooling even if temperature is below zero. Originally it was not...
Many cars roll the seat back when door is opened, to make entering or exiting the car easier. So is possible to find the limit at that point. Then when turning ignition, drive seat forward to desired position.
Still too much work, though. :)
However, the cut-off sensors are there. The motor is stopped when it hits cut-off. So it would be possible to do some algorithm so it first runs all settings to cut-off maximum, then back up "a bit". Probably would work reasonably well if just time based, back up 0.5 seconds etc..
Some Arduino...
That would be nice. The mod is only needed in cold weather (under +10C or so). However, the only visible downside so far has been that dashboard thermometer always shows +21C now..
If I could find a suitable connector for the sensor, it would be very fast to change between fake and real sensor...
Nah, engine has it's own sensors for intake air temp and engine coolant temp. Also drive battery has own sensor.
Simply unplugging this ambient sensor does not put up any warning lights or anything, only thing that happens is that the outside temp reading disappears from the dashboard. I'm sure...
Hi guys,
originally hinted by Anko in another topic, someone on Facebook had modified the ambient temperature sensor to prevent ICE from starting when using the heater. I'm not on FB so I couldn't read the original message, but I thought I'd experiment on my own. :)
I found the resistance...
Here's the ambient temperature sensor's resistance curve.
I think I'll try with some 2000-3000ohm resistor in place of the original sensor.. Great if that fixes it. :)
If i get any progress I'll start another thread, no one will find these from here. :)
That's a private group and I don't even have a Facebook account. :) Can you maybe screenshot or copypaste the relevant bits?
But that sounds promising! But doesn't it also make the dashboard thermometer show wrong readings?
I assume he's using ICEHeaterStop too?
ICEHeaterStop is fine for >+5C...
Hi!
Returning to old subject. I'm really interested in this "full EV" mode. I do have the V-Tech PHEVbox, which does take care of the throttle reasonably nicely. But the provided ICEHeaterStop does not really work in cold weather, I ended up removing it. Outside temperature affects the ICE...
Yuasa states the battery cells are 40Ah, when charged to 4.2V. Mitsu only charges to 4.1V. This difference alone makes the 40Ah -> 38Ah difference.
IMHO 38Ah is much more logical reference in the app, because that is the real Ah when battery is fitted to car..
Edit: And yeah, BMU is reporting...
Sounds like OP would get a cheaper and better system by simply buying an on-grid solar system, then you can obviously just plug the car to any outlet in the house..
Due to the nature of Tasker and AutoInput plugin, it's not very easy to share.. :( Even when I upgraded my phone from Android 4.4 to 7.0 I had to do it pretty much from scratch again. I'm sure it would be even more difficult to export to completely different brand phone.
But the method I...
There is some measured data on this forum about the difference between ECO and Normal.
With ECO. if the difference between interior temperate and A/C target temperature is above 7C, the ICE will start. So, if interior is below +8C and you are requesting +15C, it will start ICE.
In Normal...
I haven't measured anything, but I have a feeling that ECO is mainly aimed for short distance. I'll try to explain my thinking..
One liter of gasoline contains 9kWh of energy.. About the same amount that's inside PHEV's battery! However, ICE has an efficiency of about 20%, which means that for...
Ah indeed, you are right.. Silly me.
PHEV Watchdog is showing the same values.
I attached the screenshot mostly because of the hilarious add placement. :D "Diesel never dies"
