I think that if you start the car with the lights off (on the stalk off the steering wheel), e-brake on and foot on the brake the running lights will not come on.

You're not going to believe my solution :) I have a little flyswatter from the $ store in the car (you have no idea how annoying a little bug in the car can be!). Anyway, the floppy plastic end (the part that hits the bug) is just perfect for sliding in between the door and the car body. Plus...

It is one of the buttons on the panel above the window by the rear-view mirror. Just press it down and it'll do what you want ;)

Since there is no spare, why would you need a jack? At least that is the thinking at Mitsu :) No jack.

The '24 will charge the 12v battery every day around 2pm for as long as there is power in the main drive battery. If it were me, I'd make sure there was a good charge in the main battery and be happy. Just leave the car in park. I think you may be over-thinking/over-worrying about all this...
