    Towing - What Mode

On open roads, I will have Adaptive cruise control on with i-pedal on in the background. When it comes time for a steep long decent, I place my foot on the accelerator and "cancel" cruise. Then using the i-pedal I ease off to get exactly the amount of regen braking I need - infinitely variable...

My 2014 Outlander PHEV requires a 15Amp Australian power point to charge. Please read my message about other options

To the letter of the as3000 law, 15a to 10a adapters are a no no. But everyone does it.

    Towing - What Mode

Having our new MY24 PHEV with innovative pedal, I fail to see why I would use the regen B0-5 paddles as there seems to be more regeneration happening when I let my foot off the accelerator pedal compared to when I have tried B5. Also there is a lot more to keep track of. I wonder if the regen...

My 2014 Outlander PHEV requires a 15Amp Australian power point to charge. Please read my message about other options

Andy, I am guessing this has changed as the MY24 ES PHEV we bought home 4 days ago has a standard 10A plug top on the charger and it charges at around 9A. (See photos below) With regard to 15A standard, whilst it is true that the earth pin is the only one thicker, the pins are not the issue. It...

    Australians down under

Has anyone got the Mitsubishi remote control app working in AU, I tried to register the car but it didn't work. I'll check with MIT's. Maybe it doesn't work in AU

Turn off sounds, beeps and bongs

What I have learnt to do is just wind the windows down and leave the doors shut. Fixed the problem for me. Also if you use accessory mode (press the Power button without pressing the brake) the radio will turn off the moment you open the door.

    Australians down under

Well today we picked up our ES PHEV and took it for a 150km test drive and we are very happy with the car and experience. There is only one issue that has me stomped - we have both our iPhones connected by Bluetooth and CarPlay functions perfectly, however we can't make or receive calls that...

Battery life span will not be affected by PHEV mode selection?

Good answer Andy, but for me it raises another related question. Lithium batteries in general usually have a life of 500 charge/discharge cycles. So assuming daily use does this mean the PHEV batteries would only have a use life of 1.4 years. I'm guessing (hoping) this is not the case as there...

I see you have not had an replys yet. I don't have a definitive answer, our Son has a 2014 PHEV and charges this when he visits with a standard 10A plug top on his lead. I always assumed this was standard but will ask him about it.

    Australians down under

It's been a year and a half since anyone has posted here. interesting reading on this forum as I wait for our 2025 PHEV Aspire to arrive at our Mitsu dealer. I wish there were user manuals that could be read in advance but I have not found any.

    Jump starting another car

This post has made interesting reading (along with the whole forum, for that matter) as I wait for our 2025 PHEV Aspire to arrive at our Mitsu dealer. It was a surprise that in only the time it took to change a tyre was long enough for the systems 12V supply to deplete. Defiantly something to...

    Towing - What Mode

I would be interested to know what non-stop range you think you would get towing your trailer at 1400kg?

    Towing - What Mode

Andy, I'm interested in your comment here and ask why you only mention the front wheels. What about the rear wheels, that is can they be driven directly by the ICE at any time. I think I have read that the any of the wheels never get driven directly by the ICE

What features would you like to see added to the Outlander PHEV in the future?

Rather than features I would like to see added, my wish list is to remove a feature - the 3rd row option. That is I would like to have the option not to have it in the more expensive versions. As it stands if you want an Aspire or Exceed you are forced to have the 3rd row and moreover, have to...

Ready to purchase an Outlander for towing

Thank you so much for your detailed response. We foresee that 80-90% of our annual driving would be either local within all electric range or one to two 150km motorway trips (without towing). I perceive two distinct benefits of opting for PHEV: 1. For most of our driving we will be gaining the...

Ready to purchase an Outlander for towing

Hi. We are long time Mitsubishi Pajero owners (3 in total) and have have just downsized to a smaller caravan (1300kg ATM) so we can purchase a new Outlander. In all the research we have done we are finding it hard to decide which would be the best drive chain - Petrol (Gas) or PHEV. We favour...
