    Inconsiderate PHEV drivers

Nico, Can you tell me what being a Scouser has anything to do with a selfish driver nicking your cable... I assume as you had the car on charge, your car went into EV safety mode and wouldn't let you drive away... Default behaviour of the PHEV when one of these cables are pulled before finish...

    Dialing confirmation

Hey K9, I had to manually input the numbers into the system.. The import doesn't work on the iPhone. It links well but contacts don't copy over.

    Dialing confirmation

Hi K9, My method was to input my frequent callers into the car. I have a iPhone 5s and so had the same issue. My frequent callers now show with a name but the voice control still reads the phone and not the car. Took me 15 mins to input my numbers.

    Any motorway driving tips

I guess I got my own answer today 40MPG with no charge... And 5 green leaves 48% ev driving. I was hoping to get 45 mpg on motorways but I can live with 40 MPG. I got the car because of the BIK but found myself wanting to run more and more efficiently each time I drive it.... I'm converted...

    Any motorway driving tips

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I'm getting what's expected... I do cruise between 65-70mph.. If I stay at 70mph I find it drops to 35mpg.. My savings a mainly made through the 50 mph sections. I really enjoy the car but just wanted to see if I was driving it optimally. I must admit I...

    Any motorway driving tips

Hi All, I have a frequent round trip commute of 80 miles with 85% of journey at motorway speeds. I can't always charge and can't charge at destination so a lot of time on fuel rather than battery. I currently squeeze an average of 40MPG from the total run with some careful driving and a couple...

Can you recommended a suitable extension lead

Hi, I had a 13 Amp rated 15 metre lead but found the car charged quite slow on it. Had the electrician who installed my outside socket make me a lead up with artic blue cable. Works great. No heat and car charges spot on 5 hours. Key to it being safe make sure it's un-coiled

    Facelift GX4h - Phone connection

Hi Barnfather, I also have a MY16 facelift gh4 and yes the reported Bluetooth disconnect issue is still there. If you have an iPhone simply find the car network and change the settings on the network to manual... Do the following steps 1) go to settings 2) select wifi 3) click little I symbol...

    Petrol only mpg

Hi all, I don't think the Auto MPG is accurate at all. It starts off at 0 all the time and slowly increases. If you sit for 5 minutes with the engine running then drive the upward progression is a lot slower. When I had a diesel ford, it would show a real world MPG linked to revs / speed of...

    Ecotricity - Rapid Charge

I have a similar story... First rapid charge at Durham services. Connector went on and then the system failed to initialise. I panicked there and then that I may have had a broken car.... ( I had never done it before). I chose to reseat the connector and away we went... I relaxed and got a...

Thanks for the info Bladevane. Good to get a independent view of the world :) I have seen the JLong cable also which appears to be the same idea. Thanks again

    Dialing confirmation

Hi, Along the same lines... Can you get mmcs to show the name of the incoming caller rather than just the mobile number...? I have an iPhone 5s. All works great but I only see mobile numbers when I get an incoming call

    Type 1 extension

Hey Bladevane, Thanks for the update. How was the cable quality? Are you happy with it? It's a lot of ££££s to part with so I'm being over cautious.

    Type 1 extension

How was the reply solar? Anything you can share. Agree about the extension being useful for a number of reasons. I guess my biggest concern.... How do we know it will work or that the company is reputable. Has anyone purchase anything from this company before...?

    Type 1 extension

Hi all, I have been using an extension lead, standard uk 13 amp and it works but I a, aware of the warnings.. I have recently found the below https://evcables.co.uk/evcables/j1772-type-1-extension-cable/#prettyPhoto Does anyone have any experience with this type of extension? Does it work...

700 Miles and many more...... To go

Vickers That's a great mpg for the size of the car. I frustratingly didn't make a not of my trip between fill ups and it became apparent today that the onboard mpg figure just isn't going to be accurate as I got a trip in with average mpg of over 250mpg.... All electric. I am going to track...

700 Miles and many more...... To go

Hi All, New to the PHEV world and just completed my first week as a Outlander driver. 700 miles covered and so awful weather driven in... Would I give it back.. Absolutely not. The drive is smooth, comfortable and predictable. The mmcs is a great tool. I can see why some complaints are seen...
