Unpairing a Phone from the App

Hi anko how do you unpair with the app ? Is it the "cancel VIN registration" feature ? I get a new iPhone next week (iOS 9.0), but according to the Mitsubishi website the remote app is not yet compatible with iOS 9.0 :!: and they recommend to wait with the iOS upgrade (my new iPhone is...

Charge-amps - "SPARK" - mode 2 controller in the plug

I use the previous version (orange/grey) since one year every day .... very nice and solid charger cable, a clear recommendation.

sudden loss of all drive power on motorway

This doesn't sound good. A colleague of mine (we both have a GX4h since June) experienced also a power loss. Happened on a Swiss motorway, no special circumstances, motors simply stopped delivering power. Restart after some minutes … and everything was normal. Did you run on the ICE or battery...

    Repaired 'unfinished' banging boot trim

Thx for this post, BobEngineer. I also noticed the noise in the boot on bumpy roads and could identify the left side as potential source. I guess Mitsubishi simply used the trim parts as in the standard diesel or gas version, which both don´t have the battery in the special PHEV back area. Happy...

    Electric Tailgate not working?

many thx jdsx, sounds promising, will have a look at this connector  my plan B is to de-actvitate the automatic for the tail, sacrificing comfort for silence

    Electric Tailgate not working?

I find the tailgate-movement-warning-beeper annoying, extremely loud in contrast to the silence emitted from the car when the tailgate is not moving. So far it seems there is no way to configure it "permanent off". Has anyone an idea how to reduce the noise ? ...or at least where this little...

How many miles (or km) have you managed on one tank?

I just used up the first tank (PHEVing since mid June) and have reached 2000 km now. Next estimated fill up will not be before christmas as my driving distance profile is perfect for this car and my employer just installed some chargers.

12V Battery drains in 3 days

We've been on vacation for 7 days with my wife's car. The PHEV has been left at home fully charged. When we returned the car was beeping (constant, not very load, just like a kind of indication) .... seems it missed us ;) ... kind a confusing for pedestrians passing by .... does anyone know...

    Switzerland

Hi Gio I received my PHEV new in June, financed through a company leasing program. This came with some Fleet discount, add eco bonus, includes 3-years service-package. Warranty is also 3 years w/o exceptions (I read somewhere that there is an option to add 2 years), corrosion 12 years. There is...

Outlander PHEV - Securing charging cable

I purchased a charge cable from charge-amps.com. Besides good quality and no bulky box in the cable it has a 4-digit security code....that's one way to reduce the attraction for potential theft. I guess it should also be possible to just use a simple bike chain lock and lock the cable to the...

    audible warning sound

my wife"s first comment was that it sounds like an electric wheelchair, I prefer to compare it with starship enterprise ;-)

Car dead after failed software update

just found this article: faulty software drains battery....hesitation on sw update for Europe http://insideevs.com/mitsubishi-recalls-6517-outlander-phevs/ btw: I did the vehicle software update on Jul 22nd, using iPhone. Had the "screen lock" effect but this didn't cause a problem ?! ...so far...

Liitle orange light - what is it?

My guess has been that the yellow light indicates the rear mirror being dimmed.....but I'm not sure ;-)

    Charging in an enclosed area

This is what Mitsubishi says for charging in rain: "All the charging connections are rated to IP55 so charging and even driving in the rain or going through a carwash is no problem. Care should be taken to plug in the car before connecting to the power source so there is no open connection."...

    Charging in an enclosed area

"...charging in the rain", no it was "singing..." This is really interesting... Even freshwater is conductive (unless technically purified with enormous effort) and the connectors are from what I see not waterproof, a bit protected but not tightly sealed (...would you use a hairdryer in the...

    Charging in an enclosed area

I'd guess the videos show the charging outside, because light for the camera is better than inside a garage and some background with nature supports the environmental friendly aspects. Charging outside, I would worry more about rain flooding the connector area while voltage is applied.

    Random Bong?

I checked with my dealer regarding the warning ping and he confirmed it should be the sharp-curves-ahead-warning....I can at least exclude excessive speed in most of the cases I have been pinged. Will definitely switch this of as soon as I find the setting...so annoying....if it was a...
