Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

Following on from previous comments, using the vgate Icar2 ver3, it did not work with watchdog lite. There were no free versions of phev watchdog, so paid for the full version install £13.43 which then worked fine (but fiddly to connect) Happy to say my battery degradation is at 76.8 % at...

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

The passenger side front tyre is where i get terrible wear pattern on the outside of the tread. Always the same tyre and i've had it checked out by several garages. Keep my tyres inflated to the 'high side'.

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

I wonder if it has anything to do with the week of minus 4degC temp i had just before christmas, possibly bringing down some averages that it guestimates? Will need to do some actual mileage runs to get accurate data. Tweedie, your battery looks to be ok with the stats you have shown above...

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

Thanks for the pointer. I ended up ordering a Vgate iCar2 which i believe works well with the watchdog App. Time will tell. :)

Which OBD2 reader did you use to connect the Watchdog App to?

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

Can you indicate which OBD2 reader you are using and can the PH watchdog app be run on an android phone? Thanks for any help offered.

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

I'm in similar situation as the author. My 8 year warranty expires in March, but i too have noticed that after a full 'charge complete' cycle, it is only registering 18 miles, but this drops to 16 miles within about 200 yards of driving. This has only started happening in the last two weeks...

    Problem with remote charging/timer App.

I have a 2016 version PHEV and the 'apple ipod' i used to control the charging timer/remote heating controls has now gone defunked. I'm looking to instal the original app onto another apple device and wondered if anyone has a link to the correct app version. I tried the most recent incarnation...

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

The real difficulty, taking them to task, is that they simply say you must have hit a pothole and knocked it out of tracking/alignment.....difficult to win with them. :-(

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

Further to the recent posts, the service manager inspected the tyres and has stated they are legal since there is tread more than 80% of the way across. Will send the pictures to Mitsi to see if they think it 'normal' wear. Thanks for feedback.

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

Went back to the mitsi dealership service dept today. They stated I would have to take things up with Mitsubishi directly. In the experience of the service dept manager, every PHEV that comes in for servicing has very similar wear on them. My 14000 miles was 'actually' quite good. They had...

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

Hi richi, I'm 38psi all round, regularly checked, but I do get slagged off by wife and friend for being 'joe slow' when driving(rarely above 50mph). I would have thought slow driving would have been better for tyre wear! Any recommendations for 'alignment' specialists in Scotland? As it is, we...

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

cheers jaapv, I felt the same, but the manager fooled me initially as he knew it would be the nearside showing the most wear, before I had even explained to him the problem, so lulled me into thinking it was common. Will go back to him now and ask for it to be put in writing that it is normal...

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

My mistake guys, the service garage stated the wear problem was the shape of the tyre wall profile being 'square' rather than rounded, which was necessary for the tyre monitoring system to function properly. The part I wrote about the ECO button producing two wheel drive, I had read somewhere...

    Ridiculous feathering of front tyres

Anyone else experiencing very pronounced feathering of the front tyres on their PHEV. (mine is a 2016 model, but only 14000 miles on clock). When I brought the subject up at the dealership during a service, I was told this was normal, due to the square shape of the tyre walls which was necessary...
