I get about 1 mile of charge for around 2 miles driven.

2016 Outlander keyfob hack. REMOTE HEATER!

What!! It worked? Is that an early 2017 then, didn’t think it worked beyond 2016 models!

    DEFOGING

Turn off the AC and turn the heating up. Initially after turning off AC Windows always fog up so keep the AC off.

    Chargemaster

Yes, just turn off the supply (fuse) for around 60 seconds (no need for 10 mins) then power back on, let the unt go through its power up cycle and away you go. Worth a try

2016 Outlander keyfob hack. REMOTE HEATER!

Well I've done the SW3 mod on my 2017 Juro with the same does nothing result. And Yes I am doing it correctly. I have noticed that pressing (or shortening to ground) SW3 DOES send a signal to the car, as it turns on the charging bay light which is odd. I think the heating facility has simply...

Do not be scared of using that charge button.

Trex, do you know what the axis on the torque graph represent, ie kmh. Mph, bhp ??

    Tow bar questions?

It's a Tow-Trust tow bar. The instructions are on their website and yes the impact bar is not refitted!!

    Tow bar questions?

Interesting, just had a towbar fitted today and the fitter left the impact beam off. Seemed strange but I have found a manufacturers installation instructions that state this is the case. Anyone else had the same ?

    My GX4 gets 33.6mpg!

B0 and Eco on!! And see the difference. Although hard acceleration with Eco on does have worse economy than with Eco off.

    System randomly resets

Has happened a couple of times on my 2017 Juro, just put it down to the Japanese spy firmware resetting! Just another unknown, along with it not charging overnight (although this could be user error), and the engine running while in EV mode (needing a double tap on the Save button to kill...

2016 Outlander keyfob hack. REMOTE HEATER!

Well if you think about it, the app displays a warning about putting the heater on when there are people in the car. They obviously can't put out a warning if the now missing button on the key fob turned the heater on. That's my guess.

Suggestions for technical graphs and Images sticky.

2016 Outlander keyfob hack. REMOTE HEATER!

Also tried on my 2017 Juro with no luck. I don't have the tailgate release and shorting the pads for that switch has no effect so maybe this (both functions) are disabled in firmware?

    Carplay GPS

That would make sense. Unfortunately I think Apple have their operating system a bit more tied down and I don't think that is possible. I shall just wait for a stable jailbreak for IOS11 which will allow me to use any of the phone's apps via carplay, including the SatNav

    Carplay GPS

The Carplay head (2017 Juro) has a facility to look at GPS performance, ie numer and quality of satellites being recieved. To my knowledge the car/ head unit has no functionality that would make use of GPS so anyone know why the car has a GPS receiver? I seem to remember reading in the PHEV...

Technical graphs and Images still being used?

Hi Trex I'd be interested in seeing the graphs. Shame to waste the original effort in producing them. Cheers!

    Charging lead rainproof?

Thanks all, that's all good to hear. The alternative was to us a long extension lead an leave the charger in the boot, but I'd prefer not to do that. Hopefully it will only b for a couple of weeks until a charging pon is installed

    Charging lead rainproof?

Eagerly awaiting delivery of my first Outlander PHEV. While I wait to have a charging point installed could someone advise if the supplied charging lead is rainproof, ie if plugged into an external (waterproof) socket, or should it be used undercover only? Thank you
