    Update from Gary Reed

I've always enjoyed Gary's video's. So sad that Mitsubishi will not support their vehicles or honour their battery warranty.

    Installing interior LED

I had a hard time finding out how to open the interior light fixtures. So here are a few pictures of the rear passenger reading lights and the main cabin light. To remove the rear passenger cover I used a VERY small flat screw driver from a watch repair kit. Has to be sharp to grab the plastic.

    2023 North American

Finally picked up our car yesterday. Please feel free to ask questions or request pictures. We owned a 2018 GT previous. I'm just posting some differences as I come across them. Unlike the previous model it will let you use the HVAC heating while plugged into a level 2. Also displays where the...

    New Battery 2023

Does anyone have any images of battery for the new 2023 model? I found this video of the 2022 Eclipse Cross PHEV. I think it comes off the same assembly line as the Outlander. https://youtu.be/E3P_nhPDj3w?t=267

Cold Weather Performance - North American 2023

Finally got a chance to test drive the new 2023 PHEV. Car had been cold soaked to -10ºC. In EV mode I could not get more than 45 kW of power to the motors. Acceleration was poor. Does anyone else have a similar experience at those temperatures? My 2018 PHEV would always give the same electric...

    New 2022 Japan model

Sorry if there is already a thread for the new 2022/23 model but I can't seem to find it. Trying to learn as much as I can about the new model. I've read that it was released in Japan last December yet I can't find any information about it. Does anyone know more technical specifications like if...

Charging another EV with the onboard 1500 W inverter.

I know the manual says specifically NOT to use it to charge another vehicle..... I did try the EVSE that came with the Outlander and it would not work. Also tried the one that came with my Leaf and it wouldn't work either.... But then I saw Bjorn charging his Tesla with the new Honda...

    Thermal Images FLIR

Finally received my PHEV this week. I live in a colder climate so was interested in its various heaters. After living with the Leaf's heated steering wheel I was kind of disappointed at the small area that is heated on the PHEV wheel. The other heaters work very well and are too hot to touch. I...

Battery too cold for vehicle to operate warning display

Hi, First post. Just reading the owners manual. I was quite surprised to see that this is a possible display from the vehicle. I would have thought that with a ICE engine nearby they could borrow some heat to keep the battery warm. Has anyone ever seen this message? I live in a cold...
