Agreed, I didn't think the car was in Ready the whole time. In the process of debugging RemoteControl, I put the car in each of the three states to see if that fixed my problem. I still don't know why the low 12V battery warning came up, nor I have I seen it again.

This was resolved. Turns out the dealer had given me the wrong key for the 2nd of the 2 keys they gave with the car. That 2nd key also had the remote control key tag affixed. I didn't match my SSID because it was for the wrong car. All is fine now that we have the correct SSID/Pswd. Sadly...

I have the Ford Fusion too and compared to the Outlander, the ICE turn on in the Fusion is more noticeable than the Outlander. But on the Fusion, when the ICE is at max power it is much quieter than the Outlander at max power. The Fusion at max power is still louder than standard ICE versions...
