    Bridgestone all season tyres

Have any of you tried Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO tyres on your Outlander? I'm just getting some new tyres sorted & always go for all season, as I know her in the UK the weather ain't always that great Usually I'll go for Michelin cross climate+, but have decided to give the...

    Buying vs lease advice

I would recommend the Outlander, I've driven lots of different cars over the years & think the phev is a nice drive. Also a good size car for a family Having also owned a Kia & had a niro for a few months, I'd say that's also a nice drive, but I think it felt smaller. There's probably not much...

PHEV range for a 2014MY and Dealer or Private sale?

Are you in the UK? For £20k you'll get a 2018/19, just check auto trader Also if you don't need the back seats, look for a "4 work" model, should be slightly cheaper

Has anybody converted a PHEV in to a fully BEV?

There's a few companies that'll do conversions to electric. Not seen any info on people starting with a phev but as both petrol & diesel can be converted, it shouldn't be any more difficult Google ECC or www.newelectric.nl/automotive/ They've got indicative pricing on their site, it will be...

Should I go for a 100k mile+ 2015 Model? And what to look for?

Battery technology seems to get better every new generation of cars, so I'd go with the new car. If you get a high mileage vehicle, it's probably done more petrol than electric driving so the battery could still be in good condition. any reason you are looking at the outlander? You could get a...

Just got my new 2020 Outlander PHEV. Looking into getting BIGGER tires. Would like some feed back!

Maybe just go for the "off-road" look If you fit smaller alloys with bigger tyres, so that the car still ends up with 18 inch wheels?

Cheap car to give driving lessons

Hi Moonlander I was in a similar position but car was for daughter, not wife. Had one additional caveat that the car needed a good euro ncap rating, ended up with a short-list of 2 city cars - SEAT Mii S or SE - Kia Picanto 1 or 2 checked loads of others like the VW UP! and Toyota Aygo, but...

Has anyone installed a driver's seat memory switch?

I know this is an old post, but I've just come across a possible solution on another forum. It's a kit for a hyundai or kia, but it may alos work on the outlander? https://www.hyundai-forums.com/threads/installing-memory-seats.666742/ has a youtube video, its fairly straightforward to follow...

4th service in UK - cost?

Hijacking this post rather than starting a new one I've got the routine maintenance message on startup. Can any of you recommend a good place to get my 2017 phev serviced near bishops Stortford or Harlow? Doesn't have to be a main dealer, I'd rather have any garage recommended for good work...

Private sale 4h or dealer 4hs?

I was in a very similar situation, choosing between a 4H and a 4HS with about £1.5k price difference - 2017 on a 66 plate so that you pay no road tax! Ended up going for the 4H as the previous owner had already installed a towbar (use it for my bike carrier) so figured that was an even greater...

    Replacement 12v battery

I don't think the 12v battery is charged when the car (drive battery) is plugged in. Instead it seems to charge like any normal ICE car, when the petrol engine is running.

Does the 2020 outlander phev have a OEM tow plug?

Not sure as mine was fitted before I got the car, seems like you need a wiring kit Lots of details & photos about towbar fitting in this post https://www.myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1608

    Replacement 12v battery

I've only had my Outlander for a few months, is a 2017 with about 40,000 miles on the clock. Today it was freezing, so I tried to switch on the heater using my mobile. WiFi wouldn't connect so I went out to the car to do it manually. Doors opened ok, but when I pressed the start button I got...
