BMU update C1811R - Major improvment

I note this was issued in North America and it does not automatically mean it applies in any of their other trading areas e.g. UK & Europe. Does anybody know if it does apply to any other zone?

Battery Report & EU Warranty (answered)

No problem. I think your biggest problem will be finding a Mitsubishi dealer that knows about the PHEV for servicing. My nearest dealer has one member of staff who has had specific training on the PHEV but when I asked them to do a dbcam on my vehicle to restore the full capacity of the...

There is only one 12 volt battery and it is stored uner the rear luggage compartment on the right side and access there is really only for disconnection and/or removal. A replacement...

Overcharging and reduced car use during Lockdown

One thing I would suggest if you are not already using it is the charging timer in the cars control features. With this you can at least set it up to not charge for all 24 hours. I have solar panels and cheap rate power so my timer is set for daylight hours and cheap rate hours for example.

    Charging Algorithm for 12V Battery?

I can't answer your question but I can ask another. Why given the size of the dc battery and that it is never allowed to discharge much below 30% is the auxilary battery ever allowed to go flat? Surely there is some form of converter/inverter/transformer that could keep it charged.

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

I am sure all you experts are correct in what you say about the natural degradation and the dangers of overuling this on the life span of the battery. I am just a poor ignoramous that cannot believe that the batteries are naturally degrading at the rate that is being seen. What i do believe is...

    Due for servicing during pandemic

Car repairs and servicing in the UK is on the list of essential services (Key workers may need their cars to get to work etc.), car showrooms are not. Main dealers seem to have made the decision to close their garages because they can't open the showrrooms but of course they can furlough all of...

    Outlander phev 64 dipped headlights

The laws in the Netrherlands must be different to the UK. We are not allowed out except for a very restricted list of reasons that are basically for absolutely essential reasons e.g. work (but only for essential occupations), getting food or medical supplies and an hour a day for exercise, you...

    Outlander phev 64 dipped headlights

It's quite simple they are both laws that apparently city dwellers consider to be optional. Whether you think fog lights do or don't dazzle is of no consequence, the lawmakers think they do and it is a law. If you don't like it lobby your MP to change it but until then obey it. Likewise...
