    Front wipers won’t switch off!!!!

I think MrPastry's first diagram should give a competent garage/auto electrician enough clues to diagnose the problem. keep us informed of progress please, Kar3n.

    Front wipers won’t switch off!!!!

Yes, that should dismiss the rain sensor as a source of your trouble. But I'm afraid I can't think what else to suggest.

    Front wipers won’t switch off!!!!

Assuming you have the same as my GX4H, it's in the Settings Menu on the MMCS. Go "Settings" - "Vehicle Settings" - "Wipers" - "Wipers Intermittent Operation". You then have 4 options "4 Seconds", "Variable", "Variable and Speed sensitive", and "Variable and Rain Sensitive". If you choose any of...

Loud vibration/wind noise, driver's side roof

With a bit of low-tech rag!! Just couldn't stop it any other way I tried to locate it in the holder. I'm surprised no-one else has ever mentioned it. Unless I was stowing it wrong?

Honest answers for a new buyer?

Mitsubishi don't recommend the over use of fast chargers. Apparently it's not so good for battery health. Occasional use won't do much damage, but I'd be wary of using them on a permanent basis. Regen will not actually charge the battery on it's own, it will put a bit in, but not enough to...

Loud vibration/wind noise, driver's side roof

Are you absolutely sure it's wind related, and where you think it is? I ask, because I spent ages trying to track down an annoying rattle which I thought was coming from the front passenger door, only to find (with the aid of a friend crawling around the interior) it was the centre seat belt...

    Charging

Probably someone's idea of comparing it to a granny - weak, compared to a dedicated charger. They obviously hadn't met my Granny Rose! :D

    Charging

A plug-in car supplied without a charging cable for permanent use is not fit for purpose. Of course you can use the supplied charger on a daily basis. I have for 5 years.

EV system service required, among other things

The drive battery is 300 Volts. The 12 Volt battery drives everything that a normal car has that's 12 Volts. It's small, as it only has to power up the electronics, not drive a starter motor. Some owners carry a small Lithium boost battery, just in case!

Buying an Outlander online - advice and/or experience please

Hi, Stephen, While I have no experience of Cazoo, I wonder what their "check and recondition" means? These cars need specialised equipment to deal with the electrical gubbins. Having said that, if you get 7 days to return the car if you're not satisfied, that should be long enough to find any...

actual fitting of rear dash cam

Not sure what you're trying to achieve? Why do you want to use either the reversing or brake light feeds? Surely the camera would only come live when either reversing or braking? Or am I missing something? You can fiddle a feed through the flexible trunking at the top of the tailgate with a bit...

    Replacing aircon pump.

So £3700 is the right price? Just asking.

    Replacing aircon pump.

Thanks for the update. While there's a lot to be wary of on these cars, most systems are reasonably generic. Where on earth did £3,700 come from? Downright profiteering, bordering on fraud. Car main dealerships haven't moved on far from the 60's as far as I'm concerned.

    Phev continually on engine charging

The timer seems to calculate 93 days to instigate this situation. Had it last week. Unfortunately I'd just completely filled the tank in anticipation of a long journey 3 days before lockdown! Tried the IOD fuse removal method documented elsewhere on here, but it didn't work for me. Much driving...

Is this suited for me? SH Outlander PHEV

Hi, AurelianR. For a commute of 9 miles, I think you'll find the car well-suited. The only drawback to buying early cars might be battery degradation. If you really want to keep it for 10 years, be prepared for a drop in battery range, which could be quite considerable, as the car ages. I have a...
