    2022 Outlander

I'm pretty sure I saw the 2022 Outlander PHEV at my dealer (US) yesterday. It's the same body as pre-2022, just new drivetrain, and rearranged center console controls (charge/save on same button, EV on old save button, Sport Mode on old EV button), as far as I can tell. Maybe this is the same as...

    Best economy for motorway drive

I'm all but certain that A) will yield better results in general. Charging with the generator takes a long time and consumes fuel constantly, and I'd be surprised if you can make that up when you switch to battery. That said, one thing I experimented with on a recent drive was charging before a...

    Predicted Charging Time display

You might have to cycle the display mode to get to the charging time.

    SUB-BMU replacement

Has anyone had to have the SUB-BMU replaced in their Outlander? My 2020 had an "EV system service required" issue which I discussed in a separate thread, and the resolution was to replace the SUB-BMU. I am obviously concerned that a critical part should fail so early, and not sure if the part...

EV System Service Required / RBS / Charge Interrupted

Just got the car back. They replaced the sub-BMU under warranty. Not sure why it failed.

EV System Service Required / RBS / Charge Interrupted

I may have misheard them. Now they are saying the Body Control Module is faulty.

Low 12v Battery on New Car

I had a similar set of symptoms (see my recent post) and the dealer initially thought it was the 12V battery as well. And they asked me if I didn't drive it much also. I responded we had just driven ~300 miles the day before. They cleared the codes and the symptoms returned after they hooked it...

EV System Service Required / RBS / Charge Interrupted

The dealer has determined that the cause of the issue is a faulty Engine Control Unit. Seems strange for such a new car, but I don’t have any better answers.

EV System Service Required / RBS / Charge Interrupted

I’m sharing my experience (ongoing) to see if anyone has any ideas, or eventually, possibly, to help anyone else out. I drove my 2020 Outlander on a 200-mile road trip a few days ago without any issues. In the middle of the journey I put it on a level 2 charger for a couple hours, which didn’t...

    Sunshade recommendation

Update: I bought a Heatshield, and the fit is spot-on. I'm not sure yet if I like the roll-up as much as the folding shade, but time will tell. Also not being rigid it sags a little in the middle but I'm thinking some velcro might help.

    Sunshade recommendation

I have a 2020 SEL and would like to find a good sunshade for the windshield. I bought a Covercraft sunshade but found that it doesn't fit how I expected - it's not wrapping around the LDW box properly. Does anyone have a sunshade they like?

    New Owner Questions

Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2020 model! We love it so far, and I've appreciated lurking in this online community. I've noticed a couple things that I'd like to understand better: 1. The gas engine has come on a couple times recently without any obvious reason. Slow driving, no A/C, warm weather...
