Towball height above ground

Hi
I need to get a towbar fitted to pull my Eriba Puck caravan. The hitch on the van is quite low and I am wondering whether to go for a flanged towbar so I can use a drop plate to avoid the van being at too much of an angle. If someone who has a towbar fitted could measure the height from the top of the ball to the ground it would give me some guidance.
