Hi,

I’m not sure if this is a Technical Discussion or Accessory Discussion thread!

UHF radios are a common installation on vehicles in Australia when travelling in remote areas. Two common installation points for the antenna are either a bracket on a bull bar at the front of the vehicle or a bracket attached to the front quarter panel that comes up through the gap between the quarter panel and the bonnet/hood.

I am assuming that my 2022 Eclipse Cross PHEV is similar/identical to the Outlander in its firewall configuration.

Does anyone have advice on how I might route the antenna cable from the passenger cabin into the engine bay?

Be careful routing cables through factory grommets. they can leak afterwards, and this will not be a warranty concern.

Best to find a blank one, and fit a suitable sized grommet.
