I just bought a 161 (IRL) Outlander Intense (MY15).
It doesn’t have the sat nav unit, just big radio screen with CD.
I was told it would cost €4,000 to put one in from Mitsubishi.
Can anyone recommend an alternative?

I would also love to have the remote system to a smart phone.

No chance - looks like you have the equivalent of my Gx3h. So, you don't have the electric heater so nothing for the remote smart app to operate. Just buy yourself a decent Satnav or use Google maps on your 'phone and smugly think of the money you have saved over the more expensive model. :)

The SatNav is very average anyway - we always cross-check the chosen route with Google in advance, and have a phone running in parallel to give us better warning of changing traffic conditions along the way.

Use a decent SatNav or a phone - will be much better and save you €€€€€€€€€€€

Thanks guys,
I’ll have a look at Pioneer and see what they have. Google map is brilliant until the phone rings. :D

Osmand can operate fully offline and can be configurated deeply by the user.
Might be a good option beyond google Maps.

It's free for the first 5 countries or downloads, after that just a few $ or € for the pro version.

Best regards, Harald
