    Boot not working properly

Do you know where that sensor is so I can see if its simply obstructed?

    Boot not working properly

That's interesting, it feels as if the boot is actively closing but do you think it's the struts that have failed and so it's just the weight of the boot that's closing it?

    Boot not working properly

I've been away for a week and when I came back and tried to open the boot, it opens but as it gets to the top it beeps and the boot then closes. Even if I turn off the automatic function, it still won't stay open. Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

    Tyre/ snow chains on PHEV

I looked at snow chains for my PHEV but went for winter tyres for number of reasons. One of which was that there seemed some doubt as to whether many of the ordinary brands of snow chains were suitable for the PHEV. I never got to the bottom of what the difference between suitable and not is but...

    Going Downhill in snow etc.?

I'll let you know how it goes in a few days!

    Going Downhill in snow etc.?

Thanks and yes, I've never been tempted to use the handbrake, usually going down steep, slippery hills, either snow or mud I'd rely on engine braking to slow me down and keep the wheels turning but with the PHEV that's not easy to do. Guess I'll get some practice going over the Jura mountains in...

    Going Downhill in snow etc.?

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to drive the outlander when going downhill in snow and ice? I'm used to manual 4x4s and vehicles with downhill assist where it applies the brakes automaticall to control speed etc but I'm wondering if the are any tips for the PHEV as it is fully auto...

    Winter Tyres?

It does seem to be a real minefield as to what to get, where and how etc. This is the test I saw before buying the Wintracs, so hopefully all will work out. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Vredestein/Wintrac-Xtreme.htm Looks like they are being delivered tomorrow, so just in time for the...

    Winter Tyres?

Thanks all for the info. I ended up cancelling the original order with MyTyres as I couldn't be certain the after market TPMS on the new wheels were going to work and don't have the time to change things if they didn't. I have now ordered these: Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme from Oponeo and will get...

    Winter Tyres?

I've recently ordered wheels and tyres from Mytyres that will hopefully be delivered next week. However, I'm now concerned that the TPMS will need to be programmed to the car and my local Mitsu dealer is not sure they will talk to his computer? I've then spoken to WheelbaseAlloys who say they...

    iPod woes

I have to agree that the MMCS is not great at linking with an iPhone etc but at least it did do it. Mine has now stopped even seeing the phone or giving me the option of connecting an external device. This means I can't play music from the phone or receive incoming calls (the system for dialing...

    Converter plug?

Why dangerous anko? Do they not both draw the same current?

    Converter plug?

Is it possible to get a simple converter from the Type 2 male to a 3 pin socket. I'm thinking this may be a much cheaper and easier way of using the type 2 public charging sockets without having to buy a whole new cable for £hundreds which, given the amount of use it will get is not really worth...

    Cornering Lights

I had this feature on my Mokka, it's the fog light that comes on when turning at slow speed. Lots of cars seem to have it these days but not the Outlander as far as I can see.
