I think you are wrong here; if you set the preheat in the app to 30 mins, I think it will stay on for 30 mins even through the timed preheat set from the MMCS. I don't think the car discerns between timers set from the app or from the MMCS. Treat this for what it is; I have not tested it. -KJ

A valid question there. I have never tried to set up a dhcp server with no gateway address, so I do not know how an iPhone or android device handles that. So until we know for sure, I'll take back my assumptions about the knowledge of the designers here. -KJ

Only remove the gateway. Don't touch the rest. The fact that it even uses a gateway tells us that the person who designed this part did not understand what he or she was doing. It's not like the car is ever going to route your traffic in any way. -KJ

Actually I find the phone interface on the MMCS to be quite lacking. Whenever I enter a phone call, all I get is a blank screen with a little "TEL" symbol on top. I guess you could mute outgoing sound directly on your handset. -KJ
