    65 plate 4xH for sale

Hi all I have a 14 month old 4xH with just over 10,000 miles on the clock, and unfortunately due to a rather unplanned change of circumstances I need to sell it. I am going to advertise it through normal channels and will also see if my local dealer is interested in buying it, but if anyone...

On verge of buying, but have reservations!!

I'm just trading in my pre-facelift 64 plate 4xh, having done 25,000 miles in 15 months. My overall fuel consumption is a gnats whisker under 50mpg, but I do two 100 mile runs each week (with a full charge to start, but 80% ICE) and then local commuting in the week which is mostly electric, but...

    Future Outlander PHEV owner

30 mins for 25 miles range is ok if it's free and you aren't in a rush. The Ecotricity points on the motorway fail on point 1 and usually on point 2. I have a polarplus card and am lucky enough to have street parking in Coventry where I can fullly charge the car in about 3 hours while I'm...

    MY14 to MY16 - Quite different

I have to confess that I didn't investigate the bermuda triangle or the handbrake. The ICE seemed to kick in a bit more readily than on the pre-facelift model, but I didn't try it out in the overtaking situation you describe. I should pick it up next weekend, so I'll have plenty of time to sus...

    MY14 to MY16 - Quite different

Just signed on the dotted line to trade in my 64 plate version for a 65 new shape. I test drove it yesterday and agree that it's got a lot more vim from a standing start, and I like the 360 camera and some of the other upgrade bits and pieces as well. My main reason for changing was that my 27...

How long does ICE run once started?

Today was the first day this year when my ICE didn't start! Ambient temperature was 12 and the heater was set to 22. Rock on Summer :-)

    Coventry charger envy

No. No dead leaf's in sight :-). No problems today, but I did mention it to a couple of traffic wardens who were wandering past as I unhooked. They thought it was probably kids let loose for half term - could be right.

    Coventry charger envy

Something unusual today. I parked at the street charging station in central Coventry this morning around 8.30 and hooked up. There was already another PHEV hooked up to the other outlet, so between us we fully occupied the charge point. I returned the the car about 12.00 (admittedly about 30...

    Cornering Lights

If the lights were swivelling on the horizontal, maybe you were driving in the twilight zone  Was there any change on the vertical as well? Seriously, I also have a late 2014 model and definitely don't have (and never have had) this feature

    GX4h heater

If they'd painted it white they'd have had to call it the SR-71 Whitebird and that just sounds silly :-)

ECU or software update to 2017

I occasionally see 31 or 32 miles range on a full charge. Usually achieve more like 24 or 25 miles in reality - especially in the cold (although with the ICE cutting in it's hard to be sure).

    Potential Buyer Needs Reassurance

I was going down this route, but PodPoint told me that if I bought a non-tethered charge station from them I'd have to buy the cable in addition so it made more sense to buy the tethered version (same price and more convenient for unplugging and plugging in on cold dark mornings and evenings)...

    What's your favorite regen?

Mines a 64 plate pre-facelift, and I can get to D5 by pulling the gear level back twice - first step takes it to D3. To get back to standard D, I pull the right hand flappy paddle thing back for a couple of seconds (that takes it back to D from any of the levels)

    Anticipated Fuel Economy

I thought people (especially potential owners) might be interested in my experience after a year of ownership. I've been tracking fuel consumption based on actual fuel used and distance driven, and it tallies pretty well with the overall number shown by the MMCS. My overall mileage for the...

    Pre-heat setting off the alarm

My preheat has been fine using the demist option, but has set the alarm off using the whole heat option if that's any help
